    Hi, Hannah.

I'm no longer supporting this plugin. I suggest you try the Completion Progress block.

I'm considering creating an export from the Overview page for the Completion Progress block...

    https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/CONTRIB-4964

Perhaps you could contribute to that.

    Michael -
I have enabled the "Show submitted before action" option for each assignment I am monitoring in the bar. This is useful as a way for students to let me know I should look at their work.
Is it possible to 'reject' a submission such that the associated item in the progress bar goes back to red (indicating to the student they should submit again)?
If I edit the student's submission in the gradebook and delete the submitted file, it has no affect on the progress bar (still shows orange), and the Activity Status in the gradebook remains "Submitted for grading".
I guess the question is, how to set the Activity Status back to "No submission"?

    Hi, Mark.

The Progress Bar looks at the assignment activity's submission records as there can be resubmissions. In your case, I suggest you offer the student a resubmission rather than removing something from the Gradebook.

Also, I recommend you move towards the Completion Progress block, which is effectively the new version of this plugin and is being maintained still.

    Michael -

So uninstall the Progress plugin, install and config the Completion Progress plugin?

Can you point me in the right direction to "offer the student a resubmission." Is that a setting in the assignment activity.

    Thanks.

    Michael -
I have uninstalled the Progress Bar and replace it with Completion Progress.

    You stated,
"The Progress Bar looks at the assignment activity's submission records as there can be resubmissions. In your case, I suggest you offer the student a resubmission rather than removing something from the Gradebook."

How to offer the student a resubmission?
I have the assignment activities config'd such that the student can submit unlimited. If the student removes his submission for an assignment, the progress bar still shows yellow for that assignment indicating a submission has been made. How to get a cell on the progress bar to revert from yellow (submitted) back to blue (not submitted)?

    Hi, Mark.

I'd better get my terminology correct. I'm talking about attempts. Check out the Assignment Submission Settings, described here...

    https://docs.moodle.org/31/en/Assignment_settings#Submission_settings

If you grade a student's submission then offer them a new attempt, it should go back to blue.

If you'd like to talk about the Completion Progress block, please do this on the relevant plugin page...

    Hi Michael,
    thanks for the great work!
Regarding H5P: will you add it in the lib.php file? ... or could someone please share their code snippet? I'll look at your new plugin and will give some feedback there!
Some more context: I activated completion tracking for an interactive video in H5P that contains a multiple choice question. When the multiple choice question is answered correctly the activity is set to completed. But when configuring the progress bar block the activity still doesn't show up in the block settings...
    Thank you
    Björn

    Hi, Björn.

Do try the Completion Progress block.

I won't be releasing more versions of the Progress Bar block or adding to the list of activities it covers.

Small thing: in the dutch translation both 'marked' and 'graded' are translated in the same thing. Could someone explain the difference for this block between marked and graded?

    Hi, Richard.

Most of the time they mean the same. Some activities refer to marks and others to grades. One place where there is a distinction needed is in the Assignment activity, which maintains its own list of marks and keeps the latest synced with the Gradebook. Since people mark directly into the Gradebook (not recommended), so it may be necessary to tell the Progress Bar where to look.

Ultimately, this is another reason to stop using the Progress Bar block and to switch to the Completion Progress block, where the terminology is consistent.

Does someone have experience running this plugin with PHP 7.1 and Moodle 3.2? There wasn't a update since August 2016, is it still well maintained?

Joël, I have used it with success on Moodle 3.2 and PHP 7.0 (but not yet 7.1). I suppose you have already seen that the author has another plugin, Completion Progress Block, that replaces this one.

    Hi, Joël.

I encourage you to try the Completion Progress Block as Josiah suggests.

    Hi Micheal,
Thanks for developing this great tool. Are you planning to make this block available for Moodle 3.2?

No, sorry. See comments above and try the Completion Progress Block.
