Shows a teacher all of the assignments and manual quiz questions (essays and file responses) that have been submitted, but not graded. The block is configured to work with groups that is, teachers will only see the assignments submitted by students if they are both members of the same group. You'll have to let me know if it works with courses that don't use groups at all. You can install the block on the Front Page and it will show ungraded assignments for ALL courses, and if you put the block on a course page it will only show the ungraded assignments for that course.

Seeing issues in v3.6 with the latest release. The block does not reflect an accurate number of quiz questions that need manual grading. Once you click through to the quiz itself the number of questions needing manual grading is much higher.

Will this version work with Moodle 3.7?

    Hello,

Just noting that Grade Me has not been released for Moodle 3.7 yet, although we will be working on an official 3.7 release in the coming weeks. In testing this latest Moodle 3.6 release on 3.7 though it does appear to work as expected. A few things to check to ensure the block functions correctly are:
    * Ensure that the assignment type in question is checked to Show in plugin settings under Site administration -> Plugins -> Blocks -> Grade Me
    * Ensure that both the 'cache_grade_data' and 'reset_block' Grade Me cron tasks are set to execute on a frequent enough schedule for your needs under Site administration -> Server -> Tasks -> Scheduled tasks
    * Moodle cron is set to run on the server and is executing successfully (i.e. Grade Me tasks are actually getting run and are not blocked by any other failing cron tasks)
    * The user expecting to see items available for grading in the Grade Me block instance either possesses the 'grader' role in the course in question, OR is a site administrator and the "Admins View All" setting is enabled under Grade Me block preferences

Also noting that the Grade Me block doesn't display the individual number of questions within quizzes needing graded, but rather the total number of quiz submissions that are ready for grading (i.e. it's a count of student submissions for a quiz, not a count of individual questions within that quiz.) If you would like to submit any bug reports please feel free to do so on our issue tracker at https://github.com/remotelearner/moodle-block_grade_me/issues - please include all relevant data including version of Moodle, description of problem, and complete steps to reproduce.

Hello - where can I submit some screenshots that can be used here on the plug ins page? The current image is so completely dated - I want to submit newer ones as the sample images.

Hello, I'd like to know if it is possible somehow to see (in a configurable report, for example) all the teachers who haven't graded their students yet in order to control them. For example, I want to see all the teachers with a number of ungraded assignments sitewide). Maybe there are people who know how to set up such a report. Please, help

Does anyone know why the Grade Me block would be showing assessments that have already been graded?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your feedback:

@Ksenia if you'd like to see assignments across all courses you can add the Grade Me block to the site homepage or your user dashboard page which will allow you to see assignments across all courses in the Grade Me block, and you can set the block to display site-wide on all pages if you'd like. Currently there is no additional configurable report built into Grade Me block that lists te information you've mentioned, however if you have a feature request please feel free to submit a new improvement idea on our issue tracker at https://github.com/remotelearner/moodle-block_grade_me/issues

@Jessica you may want to doublecheck that both the Grade Me scheduled tasks are set to run under Site administration -> Server -> Tasks -> Scheduled tasks, and that you have configured the main cron process to run per Moodle documentation at https://docs.moodle.org/38/en/Cron#Setting_up_cron_on_your_system . If you continue to have problems with assignments showing up in the block after being graded please feel free to submit a bug on our issue tracker listed above, including all relevant data such as version of Moodle, description of problem, and complete steps to reproduce.

    Hi Ricardo,

I'm unable to reproduce this error on my own local Moodle 3.8 site. If you continue to experience this error then please file a bug on our issue tracker at https://github.com/remotelearner/moodle-block_grade_me/issues and include the following information:
    * Operating system, version, and architecture you're running this on (e.g. CentOS 8 64-bit)
    * Database type and version you're running this on (e.g. MariaDB 5.7.29), along with any non-default settings you may have configured
    * Dependency software versions (e.g. PHP 7.1.26 and Apache 2.4.18)
    * Full steps to reproduce - in this case just any special steps you may have taken in setting up the site/block/course, any manual statements you may have run against the database, etc.

    Hi Logan,

    "Nicholas Stefanski

    Hi,

We encountered an error with this block when we migrated our database from MariaDB to PostgreSQL. I think Ricardo Caiado may be having the same issue: the table alias `user` in one of the queries is a reserved word in PostgreSQL and causing an error in the scheduled tasks. I made a pull request with the change: https://github.com/remotelearner/moodle-block_grade_me/pull/31

Hoping this can get in the official version!"

I have this block on teachers dashboard pages and for courses where students are separated into groups and teachers are only a member of one group, the block is still showing all assignments that need grading for all students in all groups.

As the info here states that the block is configured to work with groups (that is, teachers will only see the assignments submitted by students if they are both members of the same group) am I doing something wrong?

I'm on Moodle V3.8 running the latest version of the block: 3.8.0.0

Is the Grade me block always visible to the students even though it does not have any data?

We're finding this plugin really useful, thank you. Just wondering if you have any plans to update it for Moodle 3.9?

Hi, i like a lot the plugin and i would like to put some concerns here to see if anyone know something about...

i placed the block in the user profile area only for specific teachers who are responsible for the courses, they have a teaching role and there is no groups. Why the block doesn't display anything? If i create the block at the system frontpage, the information starts to show up.

Another question i have is why the block decreases the site performance, i have multiple quizes with essay questions and they seems to be the origin of the delay. The assigments show in a very good loadtime. Is it possible to optimize the sql querys for that part?

    Thanks so much

Hi, we are upgrading from 3.5 to 3.9 and would like to continue use of this plugin. Will it work on 3.9 or are there plans to release a version for 3.9?
