Marking Manager Screenshot

At the site level (front page) the Marking Manager block lists all Assignments, Forums and Quizzes that require grading. At the course level, the Marking Manager has 2 parts:

Block: provides quick overview of the number of Assignments, Quizzes and Forums with the following status:

  • Requires Grading
  • Graded
  • Not Submitted

Clicking on these status links  will open the marking Interface. The block also contains links to a custom Progress Report (see screenshot below). At the bottom part of the block, a status report shows the number of students that:

  • have not logged in for x days
  • not submitted actities for x days
  • have a overall grade less than x percent

Marking Interface: allows teachers to grade Assignments, Quizzes and Forums within a single interface. This interface consists of a left section, where activites are selected, and and right section, where activties are graded. See screen shots below for more info.

This plugin is part of set NED.

    Hi Baraa. It's hard to know what's going on here. Feel free to send me login details to your site so that I can take a look.

    Most excellent plugin and the teachers are really excited about it, once we can get it working properly!

    Our problem is that the Progress Report page is not showing all of the submitted assignments from students for some reason. It shows some but not others, and one particular assignment is not showing any submissions at all! But when I go into the Gradebook, we can see that there are submissions to this assignment....
    I can't see any difference between the assignment settings that might affect why some and not others are showing, nor in the Marking Manager settings either sad

    Any ideas on what I need to do to sort these issues out?

    Hard to diagnose the problem without more info. Could you check to see if the assignment has a grade override? We are working on a fix to accommodate assignments with grade overrides (should be ready sometime next week) but, if this is the problem, here's a quick work-around:

    Otherwise, feel free to provide more info (including the versions of Moodle, plugin and PHP along with database type). I'd happy to take a quick look at your site, if you can PM me with login details.

    Fernando, we are experiencing the same issue that Bobby Demers is describing. Something interesting is that when we click on "Student list" (in the block), the response is: "No participants found for this course" Could this be linked to the fact that the block is not showing the items that need to be graded?
    An extra piece of information is that we use completion tracking heavily, so all of these assignments, forums, have completion tracking enabled; usually to be checked as completed once the teachers grades them.
    Please let us know what you find out about this issue, we are using Moodle Moodle 3.1.2 (Build: 20160912). If you need more details about our setup, just let me know.

    Thank you!

    Hi Sam, would it be possible to get access to your site so that I can take a look?

    Hi Fernando, first of all thank you so much for this plugin. it has saved our life (as teacher).

    I just upgrade my Moodle to version 3.2 and it seems to be working perfectly. I haven't had any issues, neither my trainers here.

    Just one thing, when I add the plugin on the dashboard and it brings all pending marking of my courses, it takes a little time to load. Would you have any tips for that? Or it could be my server?

    Thanks mate!

    Hi there, this plugin saved my day(s) till sofar as it seems to be the only option to have an overview of submitted assignments e.o. which require grading. But today it stopped working with the error "Invalid course module ID" after clicking on "2 required grading" . Did read all and every comment I could find on this but was not able to fix this. As far as I know I did not change or remove anything critical. The Marking manager does work for other courses but for one it does not - it just stopped with the error..... Really look forward to some help. This is debug info:
    Debug info: SELECT id,course FROM {course_modules} WHERE id IS NULL
    [array (
    Error code: invalidcoursemodule

    Any chance of adding to the annotator a resize button that makes small submissions larger and massive submissions smaller so that it fits in the annotator window?

    Hi Fernando,

    I can't tell if it's the way our Moodle website is set up or if it's how Moodle works, but there was just a tiny CSS problem that I stumbled my way around in the styles.css.

    .ffilemanager {
    margin-left: 0 !important;
    width: 100% !important;

    The css rules are fine, but the selector .ffilemanager targets every instance of the filemanager form element in my Moodle website, not just the one in the NED marking page. For the theme I'm using (More), I don't want the 100% width.

    Trying to fix it, I just made the css selectors more specific:

    #marking-interface .ffilemanager {
    margin-left: 0 !important;
    width: 100% !important;

    Fernando... Thanks for the good plugin. I have an issue of it working fine for the "manager," but not doesn't show up at all for the "editing teacher." Any suggestions?

    I went back to the permissions and saw that the editing teacher does not have the "view block" or "view read only" options. Any suggestions?

    Hi Robert, Is this a custom role? If so, you'll need to activate "view block". Please feel free to contact me directly if you haven't resolved this yet.
