## Blocks: Auto Attendance

block_autoattend
Maintained by Fumikazu Iseki
This autoattend block is modification of the Attendance block by Mr. Dmitry Pupinin (v1.0.8, 2007). In addition to the original manual mode, automatic attendance mode (from the access log of Moodle) and semi-automatic attendance mode (user clicks a link) are also possible.

These Auto Attendance block and module are modification of the Attendance block/module of Mr. Dmitry Pupinin (v1.0.8, 2007).

In addition to the manual attendance mode to take attendance manually the original, automatic attendance mode (from the access log of Moodle) and semi-automatic attendance mode (user clicks a link) are also possible.

I strongly recommend a combination of Auto Attendance block (autoattend) and Auto Attendance module (autoattendmod).

15 March  2016
I released new support module (homeroom module).
homeroom module displays all students's attendances of the all courses.

Thinking about this further, Suspending a student won't work in the scenario of a student changing courses... Is there another way a students attendance can be stored/viewed if they are no longer enrolled in a class?

I think the best solution would be to have the ability to copy a students previous attendance over when you change a students class within the autoattend block (in Users List).

Is this possible to implement?

Does this module take weekly attendance of courses? How can I ensure that it does not add a student to attendance list if the student finishes the course?

This is a great plugin but
I have 2 problems with this plugin
We use Moodle 3.3
1)
when we set multiple sessions for about a year from now, a certain hour once a week (let's say 14:00) we get all sessions fine until March, then after March (when our clocks moves 1 hour forward - summer time) all sessions set to 15:00 (1 hour forward) instead of 14:00 .
How can we fix this problem?
We have correct timezone setting in php.ini Asia/Jerusalem (in our case) .
Everything in our Moodle (assignments\quizes) with dates and time works just fine except this issue in this plugin.
Any change I can do in the code?

2)
When I try to click on the "P" link ( Present) so all student will be present with the radio buttons - nothing happens (see image), no respond
(in Moodle 2.9 this issue works fine).

Hope there is a solution for that?

Thanks a lot

Superb working plugin. But yesterday I faced a problem while I was taking the backup of courses. It was conflicting with the backup. While I uncheck the block. It backup worked.
Moreover, it would be helpful if you could add attendance upload function as well. Due to backup failure, while restoring the course we are in problem with previous data restoration in the plugin.

Hi，
Autoattendace consists of block and module.
Is the "Backup of Attendance Data" checked at "Options of Auto Attendance module" ?
If it is checked, backup will be taken regardless of the block.

I have error "Error: Unable to parse AMOS response" at "Developer zone"
Why?

Hello.
I also faced the same problem before.
I seem that this error occurs when plugin contains multiple language files.
Recently, it has been recommended that each plugin include only one language file for English and that other language files be provided through the AMOS site.
Language files provided through the AMOS site are stored in the moodledata directory.

Thanks for the update. New update is working fine. I have a small suggestion. Could you please include all present and all absent option. It is helpful while manually taking attendance.

Hi! Many people nowadays attend classes exclusively online. Professors like me want students to come in during the day to look at new content and directions when they want. Now we have a problem: if I put the session between 00:00 - 23:55 (by the way, why couldn't it be until 24:00 or 23:60?), The maximum delay time is 180 minutes, which means that every day I have to fix their arrivals because they are all told that they are late. Please open the possibility of delay until 24h. Thank you!

Fumikazu Iseki, you are a hero to every Moodle teacher do online teaching. This works great, and it works in Moodle 3.8. I made some handouts in English and Japanese to train teachers in this. How or where do I upload them?
