If you face the challenge of your users uploading large video files to Moodle on a regular basis then the MEDIAL Moodle plugin is for you!

This plugin allows Teachers / Lecturers to upload video or audio files to MEDIAL through the existing assignment activity via a button on the Atto editor

Users can upload video and audio within Moodle with the content being hosted on MEDIAL and not Moodle. MEDIAL then does all of the hard work in terms of transcoding media for different devices types. It also ensures that the transcoded content is then streamed back to any device that tries to play it back.

The plugin also features the ability for Teachers to use the tool to set Video Assignments

Students can respond to these with video and audio. The plugin is accessed via a simple button on the Atto Text Editor within Moodle so it couldn't be easier to use!

Teachers can also grade the Video Responses made by Students in the Grade Book

The plugin is built using Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) so users are able to manage their media content once uploaded as well

Also available is the MEDIAL Activity Plugin which allows Teachers to upload video and audio content from a Activity without the need to launch through the Text Editor. This plugin is better suited for users of earlier versions of Moodle

Bug tracker is not specified for your plugin. Providing a place for users of your plugin to report issues encourages participation and provides a way for users to report bugs, make feature requests, or suggest other types of improvements. There are a couple of options. You are welcome to request that a component be created in the Moodle Tracker. This will allow for you to become more familiar with how issues are managed in Moodle core but may take a little more time to setup. Alternatively, for folks who are using Github, you can use the issues feature of Github to handle such requests.

In order to facilitate easier sharing and further development of your open-source plugin, please provide publicly accessible URL of your code repository. The suggested naming convention of the repository is moodle-{plugintype}_{pluginname}.
