This Atto editor plugin provides a user friendly interface for creating and modifying embedded answer (cloze) questions. The plugin reads subquestion specifications into a form to be edited, and writes the values of the form in the correct syntax for the embedded answer (cloze) question type.

Thanks guys for sharing this useful plugin! I was able to successfully test the functionality and found the code well structured and easy to follow. Well done on that. I am happy to approve this now. You are cleared to land, welcome to the Plugins directory!

Love this plugin! Would love it more if it's possible to make all word gaps a uniform width so students don't have clues that "long words go in wide boxes and short words go in short boxes." Any guidance greatly appreciated!

Thank you! One quick question are you able to add decimals as points?
    Thanks in advance

As far as I know the question type does not support decimals in the point values so I have not supported that in the plugin. One can still have fractional values for a question in the quiz by having the total points greater than one and setting the questions point value to a non-multiple value on the quiz edit page.

As far as I know, all questions (regardless of type) in a Moodle quiz must have integer point values.

If you intended on using decimal points for some answers, just multiply every value for right and wrong answers by a factor of ten in order to get integer numbers. Moodle will automatically scale the final score of the quiz to whatever value you set for it.

Unable to get the cloze button to appear on the editor toolbar. Have added it using cloze = cloze. I am using moddle3.3 php:5.6 . editor is Atto latest dist. Installs fine show up in list of installed plugins but will not show up in toolbar.

Did you try adding a Cloze question to the question bank? The button does not appear on other forms.

I recently installed this plugin in moodle 3.5. Having issues with assigning -ve marks to wrong choices.
Assigning -33.333% to a wrong choice is not working properly. The grade gets displayed as a part of the option text and also, if a wrong choice is selected, the marks given are 0.
    Please guide me on this.

    Hello Kashmira,

I think that this is a bug with the cloze question type rather than this editor plugin. It does not seem to support decimal negative numbers at the moment although the syntax looks correct. I thought that this was working before so it may be a regression.
