    When a student is logged in, is it possible to hide the navigation panel on the left hand side?

    Hi Kim,

    Please go to Dashboard / ► Site administration / ► Plugins / ► Blocks / ► Manage blocks / ►"Navigation" disable by clicking on the "eye icon".
    In that case the navigation panel also hide for site administrators.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Kim,

    Yes, it's possible, Please go to Dashboard / ► Site administration / ► Appearance / ► Themes / ► Roshnilite / ► Font Settings / ► Custom CSS / ► add code as below example with respect to your body "id" of course page.
    #body_id {
    background-image: url("your image url");
    }

    Do let me know, if this solves the issue.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Arindam

    Is it possible to set the page that appears when you click the logo as the 'Site Home' page rather than the dashboard?

    Can anyone advise if it is possible to reset a particular user on a course rather than everyone enrolled onto a training course?

    Hi Kim,

    Very sorry for the delayed response. Please find my answers to your queries-

    1) Your point: Is it possible to set the page that appears when you click the logo as the 'Site Home' page rather than the dashboard?

    >> Go to Dashboard / ► Site administration / ► Appearance / ► Navigation / ► Default home page for users / ► Choose "site".

    2) Your point: it is possible to reset a particular user on a course rather than everyone enrolled onto a training course?

    >>Please clarify this point.

    3) Your point: if it is possible to restrict my students from accessing the Profile section under their icon? I really don't want them changing any fields we have set etc

    >> Go to Home / ► Site administration / ► Users / ► Permissions / ► Define roles / ► edit "Authenticated user" / ►Uncheck the "Edit own user profile"

    Do let me know if the above helps. Looking forward to your response.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Arindam,

    Your advice was great, to clarify point 2, some of my courses I would like the student to re-sit every year or so, is there an easy way to re-set their course/quiz attempts/grades without re-setting all enrolled users on the course?

    In regards to point 3 above I have changed this but you can still see the profile link option on the user drop down menu, is there an option to remove this altogether so you can not see it? Maybe some code I can add in?

    Thank you for your help

    Kind regards
    Kim

    Hi Kim,

    Please find my reply inline-

    Your point: to clarify point 2, some of my courses I would like the student to re-sit every year or so, is there an easy way to re-set their course/quiz attempts/grades without re-setting all enrolled users on the course?

    >>This is not theme issue, please visit this link: https://docs.moodle.org/23/en/Reset_course

    Your point: In regards to point 3 above I have changed this but you can still see the profile link option on the user drop down menu, is there an option to remove
    this altogether so you can not see it? Maybe some code I can add in?

    >>You can hide profile link option from the user drop down menu by adding the following code in Custom CSS of Roshnilite theme.
    .usermenu .menu li:nth-child(3) {
    display: none !important;
    }
    In that case the link is hide for all users including the site administrators.
    otherwise required customization and it will take extra effort.

    Your point: After the new update to Moodle 3.3+ does anyone know how to on the Course Overview block remove/hide the timeline option?

    >>This is not theme issue, this is the default features of "Course Overview" block from Moodle 3.3+

    Hope the above clarifies your doubt, please let me know for any further support.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Arindam
