New Moodle 4.0 special Moove features

Site font

Now it is possible to choose a font for your site.

Mobile APP links

You can redirect your users to download your Moodle APP.

FAQ

It is possible now to create a FAQ to be displayed for your users on the front page.

Enable/Disable course index navigation

Moodle 4.0 introduced the course index navigation, which displays all course sections and activities on a left-side navbar. This resource is amazing, but if you don't like it, no problem, Moove can disable it for you.

Premium features

The main idea behind the Moove premium is to keep the open-source project alive. After a year of the launch of a premium feature, this feature will be added in the free version, so... it is time to add some cool stuff here. Wait for news.

Because education is for everyone.

Moove is the only theme with accessibility focus.

Moove accessibility settings

Accessibility features

  • Font type — currently there are only options to choose between the default font and the OpenDyslexic font. This is a new open-source font created to increase readability for readers with dyslexia.
  • Enable accessibility toolbar — the bar has options for increasing and decreasing the site font size, and 3 different types of text contrast can be chosen.

The accessibility bar was inspired by the accessibility block, but all javascript has been rewritten, along with how the stylesheets are displayed.

When enabled, the accessibility bar is displayed at the top of the site, as you can see below.

    muchas gracias

Can you confirm if the new Moove 4.0+ theme allows the use of the two column Move Topics grid/tile/box type format that is achievable in 3.11 (Topics format > show one section per page) and looks like this:

This is proving popular and I wondered if this will still be possible with Moodle 4.0?

Jim Judges Moodle changed how topic course format works and now it is not possible to do this customization with the theme.

Is it possible to disable the frontpage completly within this theme?

@Laura - I think your question would relate to any theme not just Moove. If you go to .../admin/settings.php?section=navigation and change the 'Start page for users' to 'Dashboard', this would effectively take the Frontpage out of play (once they are logged in).

The only way to then get to the frontpage would be to go to .../?redirect=0

@Dave - tanks for your aswer. I already set the Dashboard as "defaulthomepage". But the frontpage is still visible in the top (speaking of Moodle 4.0). I would like to have this completely invisible / disabled.

I'm surprised with the number of changes appearing in Moodle 4.0 version of the theme. The previous version seemed advanced and well-designed, whereas the new one is overly simplified and lacking (no side buttons, no admin dashboard, no login box on the homepage)...

Laura Freudenberg This is not a Theme responsibility and it is also not possible to do with Moodle in the current version. Maybe you need to change Moodle's source code, which I strongly do not recommend.
