    Juilan,

    This theme is shaping up nicely, you're the man. I am working on it for a school district website, and I am convinced once global search is written for Moodle, that the LMS can be easily used for a school district website portal as well as an LMS. There are a few things that I have found in this theme that I would like to get your input on.

    1. The Custom Link Menu bar at the will not go two levels deep or further than one. Is there an easy way for me to enable that?

    2. I would like to make the slideshow the same width as the 2-column content to decrease image warping during the resize, and for overall look. Is there an easy way to do that? When I change the percentage of the banner in the elegance CSS to 83% to match the width of the two-columns the last picture in the slideshow won't display and the format gets jacked up. Any suggestions?

    Thanks and keep up the good work,

    Nick

    Great theme Julian! I was wondering if you had plans to add functionality to allow for "tiled" interfaces for courses on the home or front page? Similar to https://www.edx.org

    I got an error with the message link - it was because for some reason there was a message sent from admin to admin. I fixed the error by changing core_renderer.php - sql starting at line 321:

    $readmessagesql = "SELECT id, smallmessage, useridfrom, useridto, timecreated, fullmessageformat, notification
    FROM {message_read}
    WHERE useridto = :userid AND useridfrom != useridto
    ORDER BY timecreated DESC
    LIMIT $maxmessages"; // GT Mod don't show messages sent from user to themselves!
    $newmessagesql = "SELECT id, smallmessage, useridfrom, useridto, timecreated, fullmessageformat, notification
    FROM {message}
    WHERE useridto = :userid AND useridfrom != useridto"; // GT Mod don't show messages sent from user to themselves!

    The theme seems to have two elements with the same id - on validating the page I get:

    Validation Output: 1 Error

    Error Line 179, Column 32: Duplicate ID course-header.

    Warning Line 172, Column 28: The first occurrence of ID course-header was here.

    Hi Julien, I'm Aaron Marr from Educational Technology at Falmouth University, UK. I can see you are using our theme 'Learning Space' as a base for your theme 'Elegance.' I would very much appreciate credit, where it is due, for the design work I have done – work that you appear to be using without reference.

    Best Regards,
    Aaron Marr.

    Great theme - at last something modern for Moodle. Only niggle is the text on the slideshow means careful slide choice - any chance of being able to box around the text with variable transparency so the text doesn't vanish?

    I think this theme is wonderful, certainly much more 'modern' than the others. There is, however, one problem i've encountered: The message drop down menu at the top (next to the log in menu on the right) doesn't update once a message or notification has been read.

    E.g. It will display "3 messages" and the drop down menu will show the 3 messages, however it still displays the same "3 messages" once those messages have been read.

    Any ideas?

    This is certainly a very well designed theme. What I would like to know is this: is is possible to move the social media icon to the top (header)

    Juilan,

    I replaced the moodlelogo with my logo in the pix directory as suggested by you. I deleted the cache. I even rebooted the server several times.

    Yet, I continue to see the moodle logo in the footer. Is there some other place in the code , I have to change?

    I even came across another solution below:
    ------------------------------------------------
    These are the steps I used in Moodle 2.0.2 to subsitute Moodle's logo and sitelink to http://moodle.org to that of my logo and home site.

    Step 1

    Rename your site logo to moodlelogo.gif and upload it to the moodle/pix folder. This is will rewrite the original moodlelogo.gif with your own logo image.

    Step 2

    Modify lines 501 & 502 of moodle/lib/outputrenderers.php from:

    '' .
    'moodlelogo
    ';

    TO

    '' .
    'Your site logo
    ';

    Note that "width:100px;height:30px" was the size of the original moodlelogo.gif. You will need to specify the exact width and height of the new moodlelogo.gif that corresponds to your site's logo image.

    -------------------------------------------------------

    However, even then I continue to have the moodle logo .

    Please help.

    Thanks.
