Educator is a simple, clean, modern, three column layout theme which can be easily customized for further enhancements.
The uniqueness of this theme is that it provides most of required editing/customization through Theme Settings only which makes it very easy to configure as per individuals branding needs even with zero % knowledge of css, html, php, coding etc.
These are the main features:
- Custom Login page with a very clean design
- Custom Header image gives you ability to put headers of your choice
- Custom Logo
- Clean front-page/home page with very nice course listing and visibility
- Custom Menu background color
- Custom Navigation block background color
- Fixed width or Flexible width site layout
- Everything is customizable through theme settings only
Now, with the launch of its new version - EducatorV4, we made this theme more easy to manage, customize, brand, configure without digging into code. Most of the customization now can be done through theme settings.
- Header image now has a liquid heigth and width. Any size of header image can be added instead of existing one and it will automatically adjust the height of header area
- Header image now can be directly added through theme setting with a URL path.
- Header logo can also be added through theme settings with a URL path
- Header background color can be changed through theme settings and now with Gradient color options.
- Custom menu background color can also be changed from theme settings
- Navigation block header background color can also be changed from theme settings with Gradient option
- Option to choose between flexible width and Fixed width for site.
- Option to switch off/on the top left hand side header logo/heading
- Many other interesting options for editing theme are available in theme settings.
Feedback and suggestions are welcome.

Many thanks

Thanks for considering my theme for your environment. I am in the process of updating the newer version of my theme with many more features.
With the newer version, you will be able to customize most of it without going into the css, code, etc..
Just keep a watch and by the end of this week theme will up.
thanks

Would help to be able to change the banner page, someone could help me.
Thank you,
First of all, i assume you are using latest version of this theme which was launched yesterday only. if not then please upgrade it.
There are two options to change the banners and logo of this theme.
1. If you have access to FTP or Filesystem - Go to Moodle/theme/educator/pix/ - replace banner.jpg for changing banner and logo.png, logo_small.png for changing logo.
2. Much simpler method - Go to site administration - Appearance - Themes - Educator. this will open all theme settings, and from here you can do everything. Find a label "Custom header image" and provide with a link of your desired header image here. same way you can change logo as well.
Please let me know how it goes..
thanks

I wonder also now can use this theme for Moodle version 2.5?
Already required.
hugs,
This theme has not yet been tested and configured for Moodle2.5 but it is on the roadmap and should be available soon.
thanks
Nitin
I installed the 2.5 and was very good, put a pluguin to topics (Onetopic), I'm putting together a corporate university.
One more question, how do I take those squares that appears at the bottom of the page? appears pixel.
You know help me?
Already required.
Give me your email I will send you a user to navigate the environment.
hugs,
Sorry to bother you again, but I would take another question, how do you take the name of the site from the top of the page?
Thank you again!
hugs,
I see you have two problems.
Problem 1. Remove Site heading from top right header area
Sol: You would need to edit two files for this:
a. theme>educator>layout>frontpage.php
b. theme>educator?layout>general.php
in these two files find and remove a line
"<?php echo $PAGE->heading ?>"
you are done.
Problem 2 - you want to remove the background (square background)
Sol: go to theme>educator>style>educator.css > line10
and delete this line "background-image:url([[pix:theme|bg]]);background-repeat:repeat-x repeat-y;"
you are done.
Let me know how it goes
thanks

1-I was wondering how can I get rid of little tiles which they are randomly spreaded over whole around the background?
2-Is it possible to use gradient on the "Page header top background colour"
Thanks for your feedback. well see my answers here:
1-I was wondering how can I get rid of little tiles which they are randomly spreaded over whole around the background?
Sol: go to theme>educator>style>educator.css and find line 10 as "background-image:url([[pix:theme|bg]]);background-repeat:repeat-x repeat-y;" and comment or remove it.
2-Is it possible to use gradient on the "Page header top background colour"
Sol: Yes, Site header background color is already gradient and can be easily changed through Theme settings.
Don't forget to clear theme cache or purge site cache to see the changes you made.
Thanks
Nitin

One last thing!
I have desinged a png banner with transparent background. Your original banner is in jpg format. I would like to replace that instead of using custom link for another banner. Where can I find relevant code to replace "banner.jpg" with "banner.png" ?
In Moodle Themes, images are linked in a way so that you may use them irrespective of their extensions.
I mean, you are free to use jpg /png /gif without changing anything into code. simply go to theme>educator>pix and replace banner.jpg with banner.png.
purge cache and see it should work.
thanks
Nitin
Thanks for your help. It did not work unfortunately but with a workaround I managed to solve it.
Thank you
I've downloaded the theme, now how do I export the same to platform?
