Sadly, I don't have time to work actively on the project, I can answer questions, but I am not going to develop any major change. If you want to contribute as developer I can help you to get started with the project. Just ping me.

Thanks a lot to Barbara Ramiro and David for their suggestions, I will try to improve everything you said.

Moodle 3.2

I have received several emails asking why Archaius doesn't work on Moodle 3.2. The quick answer is: it does. you just have to install the base theme (, I think I am going to remove that dependency to avoid problems in the future.

    Hi Daniel
I have installed the revised theme on our test server and it works fantastically smile
Only thing i would like to ask is the default window/frame size is 300 high for our purpose we would like to make it shorter where would i change this?
JS is not my strong point sad
And again thank you for you excellent work smile

    Hi Gary,

It is nice everything is working well.

As I told you, I am a little bit confused about what you want. When you said window/frame do you refer to what? iframes, window element... (english is not my strongest point :P).

If you can give me a little bit more context, so, I can help you to get what you want.

NOTE: I guess you refer to the size of the slider. If I am right, let me know.

    Best regards,

Hi Daniel good to 'speak' again
Yes it is the size of the slider i mean.
What i think would be great is if the height of the slider container could be scaled as my use would be to never use a slider image larger than 90px in height.
    regards Gary

    Hi Daniel
Thats great news as i have applied your theme (customised by me) to 3 of our 4 moodle instances. Unfortunately i am only on 2.5 as our organisation hasn't updated its internet browsers yet! but google chrome on the way soon smile

well if i can make a suggestion?
One of the things that a lot of students ask for is a single button to view all their assessment grade outcomes on one page such as the 'grade button' in the custom menu maybe a tall order but it would be a huge enhancement.
ps how would i hide that 'grade' button i have tried with css but cant seem to find the right id for it.
i tried to hide the yui id with .yui_3_9_1_2_1408111591535_153 {visibility: hidden;} as identified by firebug and also tried hiding yui3-menuitem-content but it hides too much. i have to hide it on one of our servers.
Sorry i am new to coding but getting better

    Hi Gary,

We can do some work around it, but first create a issue (enhancement) here:

Then I can added to the release milestone. It is also better.

    HI Daniel
I have added enhancement request to your link to the github.
I have changed my custom menu to remove the grades button i used your help file on customising the custom menu.
Those help files are very good smile

    Hi Daniel,
Thank you for the great theme, I like it very much.
I have a quick question: how can I change the text color of head and foot?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for your comment. I think this is what you need:

I will that as an option in theme setting in the next version of my theme.

Let me know if the post is useful or no.

    Hi Daniel
    Hope you are well smile
i have tried to edit the renderers.php to get the my course custom menu to show full course name and not short ones but i think i am missing something when i change the code.
I change the line 114 in dreamweaver from
    $branch->add($mycourse->shortname, new moodle_url ('course/view.php',
    $branch->add($mycourse->fullname, new moodle_url ('course/view.php',

should this not now show the full course name from the database?

    Hi Daniel,
In Archaius theme when we check Quiz attempt table, there is no way to check all questions columm , because there is no scrollbar in it. So it is too problematic when someone want to edit grade of a particular question or comment.

    Hi Sakshi,

Let me check, I think I fixed it for the new release of my theme, which going to be available in October.
