Archaius

Important!

Sadly, I don't have time to work actively on the project, I can answer questions, but I am not going to develop any major change. If you want to contribute as developer I can help you to get started with the project. Just ping me.

Thanks a lot to Barbara Ramiro and David for their suggestions, I will try to improve everything you said.

Moodle 3.2

I have received several emails asking why Archaius doesn't work on Moodle 3.2. The quick answer is: it does. you just have to install the base theme (https://moodle.org/plugins/theme_base), I think I am going to remove that dependency to avoid problems in the future.

Best regards,

Daniel

    Hola Carlos,

    Cualquier duda o problema estoy atento,
    Daniel.

    Gracias! Gabriela

    Hola Gabriela,

    Para la versión 2013061700 no había agregado el carrusel de imágenes al tema gráfico, lo agregue unos meses luego. La versión https://moodle.org/plugins/pluginversion.php?id=6680 es la primera que liberé con el carrusel, se que las dependencias dicen que funciona desde Moodle 2.5, 2.6 y 2.7, pero si te soy sincero, no recuerdo si lo hice para obligar a la gente a actualizar a Moodle 2.5 (ups) o si realmente existe una limitante mayor que yo no tuve en cuenta.

    Por eso, tienes dos opciones, si puedes actualizar Moodle sería genial, si es muy complicado hacerlo, podrías intentar en un Moodle de pruebas utilizar la versión del tema Archaius Tigris v-1.0.0, pero tendrías que hacer cambios como modificar un valor en el version.php.

    // Requires this Moodle version
    $plugin->requires = 2013040500;

    por

    $plugin->requires = 2012062500; // Requires this Moodle version

    CONCLUSIÓN: Te recomiendo actualizar la versión de Moodle para que puedas utilizar la versión nueva sin ningún problema. Pero si no es posible, puedes intentar lo que te indique y si tienes muchos problemas pues me escribes.

    Daniel.

    Hola Daniel: Tengo montado el tema Archaius en un Moodle 2.9. Todo muy bien, excepto que los mensajes de foro aparecen anonimos...es decir, no aparece el nombre, la foto, la fecha y hora del post; de tal manera que no se sabe quien preguntó y quien contestó. Las entradas funcionan bien, pero no sus autores. Es una lastima que aqui no te pueda insertar una imagen que dice mucho mas que mil palabras.

    Hola M. en ARq. Eduardo Rettally Muñoz, se soluciona con esto.. Daniel, el creador del Thema no lo posteo en foros anteriores.. saludos.

    funciona bien..

    Escondí el contenedor de las imágenes. Si agregas esta linea a tu custom CSS el problema se soluciona:

    #page-content #region-main .forumpost div.header{display:block;}

  • Gracias Clemente...tu solución funcionó a las mil maravillas. Gracias por tu interés.
    Daniel...! Otra vez te estoy muy agradecido por tu excelente tema de Moodle. ¡Felicidades a ambos!

    Hello,
    Is it possible to easily increase the width of side blocks?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Daniel,

    Let me take a look at the accordion and hide/show blocks to check if it is problematic to add an option to set the with of the side blocks.

    Regards,
    Daniel.

    Hi Adam,

    To increase the size of your logo, put the following css rule in the archaius setting called custom css:

    #logo img, #mobile-logo img{max-height: 200px; /* the height you want*/}

    About the green bar under the main header, it is the horizontal menu of Moodle (customenu), you can put some options for that menu in:

    site administration -> appearance -> themes -> theme settings, the option is custommenu items.

    Regards,
    Daniel.

    Hi Daniel,

    thankyou for the reply it was most helpful, however i have one more question if possible..

    the admin/user box on the right hand side, is it possible to increase that and change the colour of the wording as i want to have a white out background so when i apply this the log in box is unreadable due to being white already as well as the other text on the page and with the increased logo size its very small next to that,

    also the courses at the bottom of the homepage, is it possible to increase the size of those as they seem to be very small in context to the large box,

    I really appreciate the help Daniel

    Many thanks
    Adam
