From a lowly user, here's a suggestion -- list the Activities (still grouped by Sections) with a checkbox beside each Section and each Activity (ala the Import page), and then put the settings ONCE up top. The idea would be you would modify the settings you want, and then check all of the Activities you would want those settings to apply to, then click "Save." I think this would be significantly faster for the user in some cases.
The case where it would not be faster (that I can think of) would be if you are changing many activities so that EACH activity has a separate date or time. But if there is any grouping what-so-ever (say, half of the activities per section have the same date and time), I think you would see significant speed.
But beggars can't be choosers, eh!
As a side note, I proposed in some forum post somewhere the idea of "Templates" for Activities, so that you could go to a page and modify all of the settings for, say, some or all of the Quizzes in your class. This would look very much like what you've already created with my above suggestion for how to apply the changes to many Activities at once. I can see how that would become very, very complex, and the only reason I'm mentioning it is because this seems to be along those lines.
Thanks again!
Any plans to make a 2.7 version?
This is non-trivial task, because of the changes in conditional availability in Moodle 2.7.
I am probably not going to have a change to think about this before September. If anyone else wants to try, I am happy to receive pull requests on github.
It might be possible to do an initial version for 2.7 that ignores conditional availability dates.
We have a version that we think works with 2.7.2. I will make sure we have put the latest version here, hopefully in the next few days.
