OOHOO Pop-up Dictionary is a Moodle package that gives the students the possibility to double click on any word within a Moodle HTML resource and retrieve its definition from an online dictionary chosen by the teacher. Note that the plugin is separated into two downloads: filter and block.

OOHOO Pop-up Dictionary is a Moodle package that gives the students the

Download and install oohoo/moodle-filter_dictionary

Installation
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Rename the folder to 'dictionary'
2. Copy the folder dictionary to moodle/block
3. Install oohoo/moodle-filter_dictionary from GitHub with README instructions
3. Install the plugins (filter and block)
4. Go to the plugin settings to add custom dictionaries
5. Go to the filters settings to activate the dictionary filter

Default installation instructions for plugins of the type Blocks

  1. Make sure you have all the required versions.
  2. Download and unpack the block folder.
  3. Place the folder (eg "myblock") in the "blocks" subdirectory.
  4. Visit http://yoursite.com/admin to complete the installation
  5. Turn editing on in any home or course page.
  6. Add the block to the page
  7. Visit the config link in the block for more options.
