When I try and access a Journal it is giving me this error...

A file permissions error has occurred. Please check the permissions on the script and the directory it is in and try again.

    Hi Graham,

I'm looking for that language string and I can not find it. Are you sure the problem comes from the journal module? What Moodle and mod_journal versions are you using?

I can add a journal to a topic window, set permissions for it but when I try and view the content it takes me to that error.

    Hi Graham,

Have you checked the permissions of the files under mod/journal directory?

After installing the plugin and adding it as an activity to a course and then clicking on it, I got this error message ' an error occurred while processing this directive]' I downloaded the plugin to my computer then uploaded. I choose activity module(mod) as the plugin type although I couldn't find any info on what type I should choose.
Any idea why I'm getting this error?

    Hi Michael,

For what you say you followed the normal testing instructions, can you enable debugging mode (site administration -> development -> debugging. debug to DEVELOER and debugdisplay ticked

    Moodle 2.6 support?

    Hi Tyler,

Yes, I will add the new version for 2.6. I haven't tried it, but the same code should work so feel free to test the latest mod_journal version in a Moodle 2.6 testing site.

    Hi David,
I am using Journal with Moodle 2.6 and on first sight it seems to work fine. However, when I add comments to entries and save them it get the following message "Notice: Undefined variable: vars in /path/to/moodle/mod/journal/report.php on line 78".
I had a look at report.php and line 78. Can it be that the "vars" should be a "vals"? If I change vo "vals" saving entries no longer displays the message.

Is it true what this says: https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=259569#p1125323 that Journal does not support inserting images in a response?
