The E-Voting activity module enables students to vote via their smartphone or their laptop and to have the results displayed on a graph in real time.

The E-Voting activity is ideal to capture the attention of wide groups. It increases interactions between "Professors-Students". Therefore, it supports a flipped class type of activity.

E-voting can be used in class to check knowledge at the end of a course or to animate theoretical presentations.

Usage

  1. As a teacher, on your course, turn editing on
  2. Add an activity or resource
  3. Select E-Voting
  4. Fill the form to create a new E-Voting poll
  5. On the E-Voting page, Click on the QR Code to show it bigger
  6. Your students in class shall have the option for seeing the vote panel to:
    • scan this QR Code with a QR Code reader installed on their Smartphone
    • access with URL above the QR Code
    • click on the activity in the course page
  7. Click "Start button" to start the e-voting poll (you can select if you want time for voting or not)
  8. Only at this moment, your student can vote with Smartphone, laptop, ...
  9. When you want to stop the poll, click the "Stop button"

Hi Guys, I must say this is an excellent tool which i often use in the classroom. The students love the interactivity and from a teachers point of view it checks everyones under pinning knowledge on the subject rather than just asking a question to 1 person. Excellent work guys, if i could maybe help by giving a little feedback. Maybe when you select a duration of say 20 seconds and then shows the results then it automatically moves to the next question without the teacher selecting the next numbered question then pressing start again. Also rather than typing out each question in edit mode, how about importing the questions from moodles question banks?

However this is really good and thoroughly enjoy using this plugin, once again great work guys and a big thank you.

Hello Boys, and thanks for that great tool
    Using 3.2 with boost
With long sentences (or little screens) , the word cut is a bit hard (cut in the middle of the Words) is that possible to cut in the spaces ?
The screen often need a slice bar ont the right ... no "full screen" presentation mode ...

    Nice tool!
Small wish: With the history option we can see several votings in time: would be nice to see 2 time-slots in one view to see the shift, like in: voting before and after a presentation.

I love this tool. I love the integration into Moodle. I would like to make a request. Could the potential answers be displayed on the student voting screen? Currently, the students see only the numbers for choices. This can be difficult for students to translate from the display in the front of the room (or verbal directions) to the screen. It would be greatly preferred if the students could see the answers (even a truncated answer would be greatly appreciated).

Thanks for this plug in. It really is a useful addition to our school system.

Hi there, very nice plugin indeed.
I wondered... would it be possible to display on students screens only the exact number of choices (for instance if you set only 2 choices, students see 4)
    Regards

    Hi,

Maybe a stupid question, but I don't see how to pass from one question to another on my smartphone... I only have the first one.

    Thanks,
    Monica

Monica->It's automatic, when the teacher pass to the next question on Moodle, the question change automatically on the Smartphone.
