This module add a resource that can create a direct link into a specific page in an eCampus eBook. This is only useful if your institution has the eCampus services. Requires the block 'ecampus_tbird' v1.1 or greater

The module assumes you have eBook services from eCampus (it is not useful without this), and a properly configured block 'ecampus_tbird' v1.1 or greater. The block does not need to be used anywhere, but all eCampus specific information, and single-sign-on and library routines come from this block.

As part of the eCampus setup, your institution will register ebooks with course id's. This resource works much like the moodle standard URL resource. It allow the teacher to select the eBook from the list of books associated with the course, and enter a specific page in that eBook. An introduction to the reading can also be given.

When the resource is rendered to the student, like the URL resource, the intro will be shown, along with the cover image of the book. When the student clicks on the cover image, the book will open onto that specific page in the book in a separate browser tab. (This assumes the student has purchased the eBook; if not eCampus will render an error.)

Click-through activity is logged as 'completion'.

Do you have a contract with eCampus for their virtual bookstore services ? ( http://www.ecampus.com/ )
If not, this plugin is not useful for you.

If you have a contract, they should be able to give you a customer or school ID and shared secret. Make sure you install and configure the ecampus block as well, and configure the ID and secret in the block settings.
