This plugin adds a simple way to distribute a service message, either locally or through a Moodle network for big Moodle arrays using VMoodle virtualisation strategy.

When used with the VMoodle block (providing configuration Data_Exchange service), a master Moodle node can drive advices for the whole bound network, providing a network global advice method to inform all nodes.

Five announcement colors can encode the advice gravity :

RED : Danger

ORANGE : Serios manoeuvres in progress

YELLOW : Visible local disturbance

GREEN : Positive message

BLUE : Informative

I've asked Valery to clarify if this may be in fact a patch requiring modification of the theme. There may be a dependency with vmoodle. The source control url was not working. Let's hold off approving this until it is clear that these issues have been addressed. Peace - Anthony

Source control repo was not setup... done.

We might actually consider this as a plugin-packaged patch for the theme.
The dependency with VMoodle is casual, just for enabling a networking behaviour. This could be probably reworked by relocalizing the RPC definition inside the local plugin.... It was not done as that RPC was already provided in VMoodle architecture. I guess administrator network notices are relevant in a managed institutional MNET, compact hosting, thus relevant with VMoodle added value, but feature should also fullfit simple uses.
    Cheers - Valery.
