Soft Course format

Softcourse is a course format that display sections with only an image and an optional text on the course homepage. Users don’t see the detail of the section, for instance, resources or activities.

FN-Tabs Course Format Block (control panel)

This block contains the "control panel" for Tabs Course Format (FN) version 2.4 located here: https://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?plugin=format_fntabs Note that version 2.5 does NOT require this block.

SCORM Cloud Course Format

Provides a SCORM Cloud course format. (superseded by the new Single activity course format plugin)

Topic Forums course format

Topic Forums course format adds forums below the topic sections of the Onetopic course format. Each topic has its own discussion forum.

Diary

Diary is based on a highly modified version of the Journal plugin. It allows a user to create one or more entries for almost any day. Each entry can be individually rated, with results being shown based on the selected aggregate type of rating. If the, Edit all, setting is enabled, the user can edit any entry. When, Edit all, is disabled, the user can edit only the entry for the current day. If the, Edit entry dates, setting is enabled, the user can create one or more entries for almost any date. If it is disabled, the user can create only one entry on a new calendar day. Weekly course format can use the, Days available, setting to control entry edit access. Open time and Close time, can be used for other course formats, to control entry edit access. When a Diary is closed but accessed by the user, it will automatically display all entries made by the user, along with the rating as well as the date and time the activity was closed for editing. A teacher can still rate and provide feedback to entries when a Diary is closed for editing. Diary now includes new tool buttons on the report page for, Sort ascending, and, Sort descending, as well as the diary name and sort order label.

Flexpage Menu

Moodlerooms is proud to release the Flexpage Menu Block, a helper block that is used by the Flexpage course format to display Flexpage menus. The Flexpage Menu block is required for the Flexpage course format to work properly.

Flexpage Activity

Moodlerooms is proud to release the Flexpage Activity block, which allows the Flexpage course format to embed activities into different regions of the page.

Flexpage Theme

Moodlerooms is proud to release the Flexpage Theme, which allows for the new and improved layout in the Flexpage course format

Alerts

This is required by the Socialwall Course Format. This block is used to indicate any due dates for activities such as an assignment or quizzes that have been added to a course. It is very similar to the standard Upcoming events block (calendar_upcoming) but it would also display any alerts posted by the teacher with its date. Alerts are posts with a special flag normally sent by teachers by using the socialwall format for a course.

Retrieve Title and Teaserimage from webpage via url

This Filter is required for the Socialwall Course Format. The Moodle Socialwall will transform your Moodle course into a social learning platform. This includes a familiar post interface, timeline of posts, filtering of the timeline, and integration with Moodle's activities and resources. A social learning format allows teachers to pick up the tool and begin using it right away.

Backup Helper for filter_urlresource

This Local Filter is Required to properly use the Socialwall Course Format. If your course displays in socialwall format you are able to use a filter called "URL resource filter". This is a new filter that will convert a URL resource type http link that is added and will grab the title and a photo similar to how facebook does from the remote website to display it on the course page. This plugin is needed to store the data generated by the filter (like alternative title for the url and selected photo) in the course backup.

Page module

This block is needed to run the course format "page". It provides an "activity in a block" wrapper to locate activities anywhere in the page layout.

Upload block settings

This plugin allows administrators to upload a CSV file containing block settings for courses. You can add or delete blocks, so the tool enables you to apply a default set of blocks for some or all courses on a site. You can also reset the set of course blocks to the default for that course format.

Enhanced Paragraph styles

This is essential Paragraph styles with an added element for tabs. This is required when using the Glendon course format to identify tabs

Adaptable

Mass Actions block

This block allows instructors to perform actions upon multiple resources or activities, rather than having to perform repeated actions on individual items.

BCU

This is the theme from the moodle site of Birmingham City University. It's based on bootstrap and allows for extensive customisation and some unique features to help improve Moodle's usability.

alfaview classroom

alfaview is an app based video conferencing system (https://alfaview.com). This plugin integrates the alfaview video conferencing capabilities with Moodle.

Tiles format

A course format which displays course topics as "Tiles", in a grid rather than as a list. When clicked, tile content is displayed under the tile with an animated transition. The layout adapts to different screen sizes and orientations. Within each tile, activities can also be set to display as "sub-tiles". For each tile, the teacher can pick an icon from a predefined set, or upload a background photo.

Onetopic format

Format to course that allows showing each topic in a tab, keeping the current tab between calls to resources, in such a way that when it returns from a module as the blog or the glossary it returns to tab from where you started. This format is based on the Moodle standard format: “Topics”. It accepts edition by AJAX.

Grid Format

A modular and visual course format. Hides all topics and creates a grid of icons (one for each topic) with short titles. Clicking on an icon brings up the content from the corresponding topic.

Course dedication

This block allows to calculate estimated dedication time of participants within a course.

Course size

This plugin provides approximate disk usage by Moodle courses.

Microsoft Word File Import/Export (Question Format)

Import questions (including images and equations) from structured tables in a Word file (.docx format) into a course question bank, and also export questions to a Word file, allowing for round-trip editing.
