Tiles format
Course formats ::: format_tiles
Maintained by David Watson
A course format which displays course topics as "Tiles", in a grid rather than as a list. When clicked, tile content is displayed under the tile with an animated transition. The layout adapts to different screen sizes and orientations. Within each tile, activities can also be set to display as "sub-tiles". For each tile, the teacher can pick an icon from a predefined set, or upload a background photo.

Great to have the new version of your plugin! Thanks! No more php error in log!
However (sorry), the width of the content no more fits the width of the page as it used to be with the previous version (I'm using the LearnR theme). I've tried width fittilestowidth checked or unchecked and haven't seen any change by using this item. It seems as the tile plugin overrides the LearnR setting (fullwidthpage).
Thanks.

we are very happy, that it will be possible to use tiles with moodle 4.0. But I have one question. A special feature of moodle 4.0. is the course index. Is it correct, that with the course format Tiles there will be no course index? Or are you working on this issue?
Thanks
Ute
Thank you for your support. We tried the beta version, one thing was not working which was the "Mark as done" button for the activity completion.
Thank you.
Could someone please point out, WHEN the data preference setting (which is stored in browsers local storage under the key "mdl-tiles-userPrefStorage-user-[id]") is deleted? Since it's not a cookie but a local storage object, there's no expiration date — so there has to be a mechanism in the code that deletes the key and its values.
Would be glad to know about the scheduling/trigger-events, that delete the local storage object!
First, thanks for the plugin.
I have few questions. (Moodle 4.0 / Moove theme)
1) Will we have the course index with the tiles on the V4.0 ?
2) Will it be possible to change the size of the pop up that shows the content (it's really small for the pages for example)
3) Will it be possible to have all activities opening as pop up ? (some like feedback, h5p open in a new page so we loose the benefits of the tiles)
Also I notice a small bug on the new version, if we scroll outside of the tiles, it doesn't work (or we have to close de tiles first). (it was working for the previous versions)
Thanks
Thank you for your support.
We are running Moodle 4.0 with the Remui Edwiser theme, the course index is not showing with the tiles, if we can know when can we expect an updated version.
For as i noticed from all the recent comments, users are asking as well for the course index.
Thank you.

I tested this plugin with Moodle 4.0 : ok. I upgraded to Moodle 4.0.2+ : ko. When I click on tiles, I see only sections names but content is empty. Someone got same problem with moodle 3.9, but solution has not been published. Someone can help me ? Thanks !
The same thing happened to me as to ED ED.
I have moodle version 4.0.2+ and when I updated this plugin to version 4.0.0.3 Beta, the tiles look well but when we click on a tile we cannot see the text of the activities and therefore the students can not enter to do the activities.
Note: In edit mode we can see the text of the activities.
By the way, it's a great plugin for moodle. I hope it can be fixed soon.
