    Hi,
I just installed this block in a test environment and it looks very useful. I will try in a real server and comment back soon. It might just be what Moodle core needs to be more user-friendly.

    Hi David,
I think the english string for 'sn_show_mods_assign' which is currrently 'Show assign' should be 'Show assignment'

and the string for 'sn_show_mods_assignment' which currently is 'Show assignment' should be 'Show assignment 2.2'
in order to match the current names for this activities.

    Thanks for the great plugin.

    Hi,
This is a great block, but the English language strings are not available for translation in AMOS, which prevents us (language packs translators) from translating it to other languages.

    According to David Mudrak:
..., this block is one of those that had syntax problems in the language file:

=== Processing plugin 153 out of 329: Simple Navigation Block ===
[Error] exception thrown at the remote side
Error: Expected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING array key at line 26

Unfortunately, the maintainer publishes neither the block repository URL nor a place to report bugs in the Plugins directory. If you're in an email contact with him, please provide them the information above. They need to look at the line no. 26 in their English language file, fix it and then upload a new version into the Plugins directory.

    Can anybody help please ?

    Hi German,

I just uploaded a new version, which should fix the translation issue and we also added a new feature: categories can now be chosen to show or be hidden.

    Best regards,

    Hi David,
I've tried to use this plugin. The installation works without problem.
Once I try to add the block into a page, the system results inaccessible.
The only solution to restore, it is deleting the folder simple_nav from moodle/blocks

    Hi Paolo,

    Hi David,
I am sorry my post appeared triplicated. I just erased the extra copies. Language strings are now in AMOS, which will allow translators to do their job. Thanks a lot.

Thanks for a very nice (great) plugin. Very user-friendly. smile

By the way, I think that maybe the string [blockstring,block_simple_nav], which currently is "Feld Titel" might perhaps be "Field Title".

    Yours sincerely,
    German Valero

    Hi Paolo,
I did upload a new version at 13:00, perhaps that works better for you. I recommend installing it on a testing environment. I tested the latest version on 4 different installations and did not experience this problem. If you can turn debugging on (Development->Debugging) and select Developer mode, that would help to see where the problem is.
    Best regards,
    David
