    Hi Brigitte,
as it specified in the description live-school is free. Live-School is a PhD project I started 9 years ago with my personal investment.
I wish that happy users make donations to contribute to live-school survival since I invest my own investment and time.
I have obviously not the billions of Google or Skype, then users must be conscious of this fact.
    > Would the whole live content (data volume) run over the live-school platform and servers?
    yes
    > Or would our own moodle server need to be equipped for this extra data stream?
if your usage is high and have big data so it's possible to have your own dedicated servers.
any other questions related to live-school and not the plugin please contact me directly at infos@live-school.net

When the "Install Now" button is clicked, the automatically downloaded file does not have the "lang" folder. Manual download and installation works.

    Hi,
I was translating the English language strings for this plugin at AMOS (https://lang.moodle.org/ ), but AMOS only has strings for Moodle branches 2.0 to 2.2 and there is no way to upload translations for newer Moodle branches for this plugin.

According to the Developers documentation at https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Translating_plugins#If_translations_are_available_in_AMOS_for_some_Moodle_branches_but_not_available_for_other_branches , this is usually caused by a programming error.

Would you please have a look at the developers documentation at https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Translating_plugins#If_translations_are_available_in_AMOS_for_some_Moodle_branches_but_not_available_for_other_branches ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Franck,

thanks for supporting the moodle community with your plugin smile

Unfortunately I have the same problem as Vivek Patwari - no english language file, when attempting to update the block. Only I am using Moodle 3.0.3 and Live-Block 10.1.3.

Also: Is it possible to show the block on some courses, but to block it on all the others ?

Thanks for your response in advance. With best regards

    Hi Peterrs,
did you try the version 11.0.0 I just uploaded? please give a try and tell me if it's ok
    > Also: Is it possible to show the block on some courses, but to block it on all the others ?
Theorically it's possible, but not developed for now, assuming that the teachers can set everything directly from
live-school control panel so even if the student click on the student button he/she won't be able to access to any liveroom

    Hi Franck,

yes I tried to upgrade to 11.0.0, but it still won´t work. Same error.

Yes, I am aware it won´t work if a student clicks on the button, but they see it and then they want it ... which can be a problem for some of my teachers since they can´t/ don´t want to provide it ... I know it is a luxury problem ^^... just wanted to ask if I overlooked an option ;)

    Hi Arne,
    > yes I tried to upgrade to 11.0.0, but it still won´t work. Same error.
I think you should remove completely the plugin, void your cache and install it again.
it's not possible you have the same error since the version 11.0.0 passed AMOS checks without error.
please give a try again thanks
    > just wanted to ask if I overlooked an option
ok I think it's possible but require a more deep coding and how to manage that with a minimum of changes and a maximum of compatibility with the current logic.
for now the thing you can do is maybe change the role id of the live-school logic and use a special id for a special course.

    Hi Franck,

I tried to install this but it keeps saying validation failure --
    Downloading block_livemood ... OK
    Validating block_livemood ... Error
[Error] Missing English language folder [null]
Installation aborted due to validation failure

What do you suggest to do, I am using moodle 3.0+
