Shows a teacher all of the assignments and manual quiz questions (essays and file responses) that have been submitted, but not graded. The block is configured to work with groups that is, teachers will only see the assignments submitted by students if they are both members of the same group. You'll have to let me know if it works with courses that don't use groups at all. You can install the block on the Front Page and it will show ungraded assignments for ALL courses, and if you put the block on a course page it will only show the ungraded assignments for that course.

    Hi Ricardo,

I'm unable to reproduce this error on my own local Moodle 3.8 site. If you continue to experience this error then please file a bug on our issue tracker at https://github.com/remotelearner/moodle-block_grade_me/issues and include the following information:
    * Operating system, version, and architecture you're running this on (e.g. CentOS 8 64-bit)
    * Database type and version you're running this on (e.g. MariaDB 5.7.29), along with any non-default settings you may have configured
    * Dependency software versions (e.g. PHP 7.1.26 and Apache 2.4.18)
    * Full steps to reproduce - in this case just any special steps you may have taken in setting up the site/block/course, any manual statements you may have run against the database, etc.

    Hi Logan,

    Hi,

We encountered an error with this block when we migrated our database from MariaDB to PostgreSQL. I think Ricardo Caiado may be having the same issue: the table alias `user` in one of the queries is a reserved word in PostgreSQL and causing an error in the scheduled tasks. I made a pull request with the change: https://github.com/remotelearner/moodle-block_grade_me/pull/31

Hoping this can get in the official version!"

I have this block on teachers dashboard pages and for courses where students are separated into groups and teachers are only a member of one group, the block is still showing all assignments that need grading for all students in all groups.

As the info here states that the block is configured to work with groups (that is, teachers will only see the assignments submitted by students if they are both members of the same group) am I doing something wrong?

I'm on Moodle V3.8 running the latest version of the block: 3.8.0.0

Is the Grade me block always visible to the students even though it does not have any data?

We're finding this plugin really useful, thank you. Just wondering if you have any plans to update it for Moodle 3.9?

Hi, i like a lot the plugin and i would like to put some concerns here to see if anyone know something about...

i placed the block in the user profile area only for specific teachers who are responsible for the courses, they have a teaching role and there is no groups. Why the block doesn't display anything? If i create the block at the system frontpage, the information starts to show up.

Another question i have is why the block decreases the site performance, i have multiple quizes with essay questions and they seems to be the origin of the delay. The assigments show in a very good loadtime. Is it possible to optimize the sql querys for that part?

    Thanks so much

Hi, we are upgrading from 3.5 to 3.9 and would like to continue use of this plugin. Will it work on 3.9 or are there plans to release a version for 3.9?

I am exploring the use of the Grade Me Block on our courses. Some roles have access to all trainees (students) - about 1400 people. This is produces one huge list which takes a long time to load and it pushes the other blocks way down on the course home page. Is there any way to set this Block to always open (by default) FULLY COLLAPSED?

    Thanks

I am wondering whether a 3.9 version of GradeMe is in development and (if so) what the projected release date might be. Thank you!

As per Ricardo Caiado (Mon 13 Apr 2020) and Nicholas Stefanski (Thu, 16 May 2019):

We also encountered an error with this block when on PostgreSQL (Moodle 3.7.6 with GradeMe 3.7.0.0 (2019052000)). The table alias `user` in one of the queries is a reserved word in PostgreSQL and causing an error in the scheduled tasks.

There is a patch that we have applied to our test site that works: see https://github.com/remotelearner/moodle-block_grade_me/pull/31
    Also see: https://github.com/remotelearner/moodle-block_grade_me/issues/14

Hoping this can get in the official version so that we can apply this to our production site!

Anyone else know how to remove the submissions from the block if there is an override on that grade?

@cory - go into the gradebook single view - remove the override. Go back to the grademe block and give the submission some feedback which should remove it from the block. You can then go back and add the override back.

Hello! Thank you for this block. We just recently found it and it is going to be a great resource for our instructors. During testing, we weren't able to get the discussions to show up in the block when they need to be graded. We are using the Grading Guide for the Grading Method. When I switched to Simple Direct Grading, the discussion would then show up to be graded. Is there any way that support for Grading Guides can be added? Thanks again.
