  I have just installed this plugin but my teachers aren't seeing it. When we put their moodle into editing mode it shows up but as soon as we turn off editing it disappears. Admin can see it but it says there is "Nothing to grade" which I am sure is not the case. Any suggestions on what I need to do? I am using Moodle 2.5

  Hi Matteo , we will take a look at that problem as soon as we start our next development cycle.
  
  Hi Natalie, usually when there are assignment that need grading and Grade Me does not display anything you need to run the cron so that Grade Me will check for new assignments. If running the cron doesn't fix the problem, you may need to check that the block has been configured to look for the right types of gradeable items. If I remember correctly, it should pick up quizzes and assignments by default but the other types will need to be turned on.

  How about when there is actually nothing to grade. Is it by design that teachers do not see the block at all versus seeing the "There is nothing to grade" message like admin see?

  My teachers started seeing that message randomly mid school year, then it went away again after a month or so. Wasn't sure if that was something I did, or just a fluke

  We have just published an update to the 27-30 branches of Grade Me which fixes both the problem of entries linking to incorrect student, as well as some glossary types not displaying within the block.
  
  @Matteo I've filed a new issue to get the duplicate-index problem you reported fixed here https://github.com/remotelearner/moodle-block_grade_me/issues/6 , which we'll include in a future sprint to work on. I'm also seeing that the "Create Issue" feature at our canonical source on GitHub may have not been displaying previously, however it should be available now and I would encourage anyone with feature requests/bug submissions to report them as a new issue at https://github.com/remotelearner/moodle-block_grade_me/issues . We will create internal tasks based on each of these to include in future sprints, similar to the existing one I've created as an example.

  I am using Moodle 2.8.5 and Grade Me version 2.8.0.7 which was automatically updated on June 9th 2016. The old problem of row num returned. It shows the correct student but saves the feedback and grade to the first student enrolled. I can see on the version listing that it says this was fixed but it seems to still be wrong on mine. Do I need to reinstall version 2.8.0.7 again to get it working properly?

  There is a second problem with the block. If a student submits an assignment as a PDF (which there is no way of preventing) it shows in the block correctly. If a teacher clicks on the red check mark they go to the assignment. But, if they do not grade immediately, it then disappears fro the block. Why are assignments disappearing when they have not been graded - this only happens with PDF files. It was a problem in the past then appeared to be fixed with one of the upgrades but now has mysteriously returned. Can you help me understand how we can fix this? Thanks. Nikki

  Is there anyone maintaining this block that could let me know about the problem with the latest release of version 2.8.0.7? In the last couple of weeks the two old problems seem to have reappeared and it has meant that my teachers are unable to use the block at all.
  
  1. If a teacher clicks on an assignment and enters a grade and feedback, it saves the feedback and grade to the first student in their list rather than the student they chose to enter feedback for.
  
  2. If a student uploads a PDF for their assignment and the teacher clicks on the red checkmark in the block for that assignment, it removes the assignment from their list even if they do not save any feedback or a grade. Just viewing the students submission removes it from the block.
  
  These problems existed previously and were corrected but seem to have come back in the last couple of weeks. I really need to get this resolved or will have to remove the block altogether which my teachers would be very disappointed about. Thanks!!

  Hi Nikki, I've been able to replicate the first part of the issue you reported with 2.8.0.7, and we will be taking a look at these problems in our next development sprint. We should have a fix for these problems soon.

  Hi Nikki, sorry for the delay in finding a solution to the grading problem you outlined. We thought we had a solution to the problem, but it didn't work out. It looks like this may actually be a bug with the single grade marking form for the assign module. We are continuing to work on the problem and hope to have a solution for you soon, in the meantime, teachers should probably be using the multi-grade view which can be reached by clicking on the assignment name in the Grade Me block, and then on the "View/grade all submissions" link under the "Grading summary" on the next page.

  Hello, we are using version 3.0.0.1 of the plugin and it is really helpful. However, the plugin does not recognize any groups and shows all assignment.
  
  Teacher is in Group A
  Student is in Group B
  Assignment is configured to use groups
  
  Nevertheless, the teacher sees the assignments of Student within grademe. Or do we have to take something special into account when using groups?

  @David - in the course settings do you have Groups set to 'separate' and Force Group Mode set to 'yes'?

  We have. We did some investigation by ourself and our current guess is, that the access right ("moodle/site:accessallgroups") might be the problem. If the teacher is allowed to see all groups, the filtering does not work. Not sure if it is a bug (if it's true), but a bit unexpected.
