Exabis ePortfolio allows students to create, collect and share outcomes of their learning process in form of a digital portfolio.
Exabis ePortfolio facilitates a learner driven way of attaining new competences, knowledge and skills, by creating and sharing artefacts as a learner.

This module can be used to work with digital competence grids within Moodle spanning over courses.

Key features are:

- ePortfolios can be built up individually or collaboratively
- materials, so-called artefacts, can be collected and published selectively using views
- learning products can be linked to competences (see exabis competence grids)
- export to Europass for CVs
- integration of OpenBadges
- export to SCORM-format
- base for using the DAKORA-app to individualize learning processes with competence grids.

This block can easily be added to a Moodle installation. It works course-independently.

Students can collect weblinks, files and notes and save them in self-defined categories. They can publish all or parts of their collected learning material, choosing to share their work with all or a selected group of users. Providing other students and teachers access to their ePortfolio makes it possible for their work to be assessed and reflected upon.

ePortfolios can be saved as a SCORM-package, and as such be used cross-platform for further work. The CV-functionality allows exporting to the Europass format.

Exabis ePortfolio is part of a suite of three main modules:

Exabis ePortfolio
portfolio work

Exabis Competencies - Competence grids
competency-based education connecting learning products  to competences and defining personalized learning paths using digital competence grids and. Base (together with exabis ePortfolio) for the DAKORA-App

Exabis student review
course spanning reporting tool of students’ achievements including assessment of soft skills.

The module can be used standalone or as part of this suite. Advantage of using all three modules together is that learner driven learning paths can be established – guided by trainers, self-paced, competency-based and personalised.

The free app DAKORA (working with digital competence grids) allows work with two of the modules (exaport, exacomp) with a simplified and innovative interface for tablets and smartphones which can be downloaded from all app stores. All data of the app is stored in MOODLE.

Andreas, Above you said, "Hello, actually guest-login has to be enabled. We had to do this to keep exabis eportfolio Moodle-compliant. If you have guest-access available and also autologin activated, you can use the external view without any problems" to solve the problem of the external access view to be seen. I'm pretty sure I have that set correctly but I also get "View not Found" error. Where specifically should I go so that external views will display?

Another problem I'm having is in the list of My Items if the link description is long there is a linked word "weiterlesen" which I have changed to "read more". This javascript isn't working correctly. If you have for example 3 links all with long descriptions if you click on any of the "Read Mores" it will only expand the first link in the list. Anyone know how to fix it?

Version question: I'm getting ready to test Exabis e-portfolio for possible use in my courses. I notice that at https://github.com/gtn/exaport the latest MASTER version of Exabis e-portfolio is version 4.0.5 maturity_beta 2013032201 while the version offered for download via Moodle here is version 4.0.4 maturity_beta 2012122800.

Is version 4.0.5 2013032201 safe for production? Or would you recommend version 4.0.4 maturity_beta 2012122800? Which would you recommend? I'm running the latest 2.3.6+ version of Moodle (linux/mysql).

    Hello Andreas,
I use ePortfolio. Great! But I have problems with the SCORM-output.

In the informationblock I placed a picture (301_brain.jpg). So far, so good.

But when I export a view to scorm, the picture does not come with it.
The link to that picture in that scorm is then (when I open that scorm from my harddisk):
    file:///I:/Test/koo-scorm/data/@@PLUGINFILE@@/301_brain.jpg

I think that @@PLUGINFILE@@ is not correct replaced.

    Thanks! Kees.

    Hi,
    I'm using release 4.0.5 on Moodle 2.4.
Everything is great, till I want to open the file that is shared through the portfolio. The share link itself opens perfectly and shows me an portfolio page with the previews of the files (images in my case). When I click the right button on the preview and choose 'Open image in the new tab', there's full-sized image opening. But when I click the 'Show" link under the file, and then click the link with the filename - I recieve an empty pop-up with nothing loading.

I've tryid changing the themes and languages, but nothing helped. Have anyone got any suggestions? Thanks..

It does not work now, It cannot drag and drop any contentes (and there are contents) because nothing is displayed.

Maybe these have been fixed in 2.5 but we are using 2.4 and here are some suggestions. It would seem that when building the portfolios and dragging over artifacts from the list on the left that they would be organized somehow according to the categories that we put them in. Also, adding artifacts drop downs and save changes buttons should be at the top so we don't have to scroll all the way down. Finally, we have lots of students that have just clicked the Share with All box so now our Shared Portfolios Tab is all filled up. Can we refuse the offering to share with us? And when we choose to share with someone can we clean up the endless scroll of people? Perhaps collapse it into the separate courses? These were just suggestions that came from my staff today when I trained them on how to use it with their students. We do really appreciate and like the portfolio system.

Ok, so my comment above is outdated and I have now downloaded the newest version and WOW! These guys are good! This is turning into an amazing portfolio system. My only error looks like the same thing that Luis received above with the exception that I am using the 2.4 version. Can I get a fix?
