This block can easily be added to a Moodle installation and provides ePortfolio functionality for each student and teacher course independently.
Students can build up their ePortfolios collecting weblinks, files and notes within individually defined categories.  ePortfolio-artefacts can be published to specific target-groups using views to start reflection and assessments.

ePortfolios can be saved as a SCORM-package and can be used cross-platform for further work. Also the CV-functionality allows export to the Europass format.

Exabis ePortfolio is part of a suite of three main modules: Exabis ePortfolio (portfolio work), Exabis Competencies - Competence grids (connecting artefacts to competences and individualization paths using digital competence grids) and Exabis student review (course spanning reporting tool of students’ achievements including assessment of soft skills).

The module can be used standalone or as part of this suite. Advantage of using all three modules together is that learner driven learning paths can be established – these are teacher guided, self-paced, competence-based and individualized.

The free app DAKORA (working with digital competence grids) which was developed together with the Federal Ministry of Education in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, allows work with all three modules with an innovative interface for tablets and smartphones which can be downloaded from all app stores.

    Hi Andreas,
re 'Shared portfolios'. when I click on any 'View' from the list of the students who share their portfolios with me I get a blank page with the active buttons 'Information Categories....Shared Portfolios' on the top. No links, files or notes. When I click on View there then it brings me to my own portfolio view. Is it a bug or I'm doing anything wrong? We're using Moodle 2.3

Hello Lada, is it possible that your students have published the view but have not put any artefacts in the view? Take a quick look at exabis eportfolio video to give you an idea on how it should work:

Thank you, I've tried and everything works fine, thinking of videorecording the whole procedure as we're using this plugin for the 1st time and this issue will emerge again I think so

    Liebe Andreas,
I have installed the latest version of the Exabis Porftolio, Thank you very much for sharing it with the community. It is a very smart tool beautifully integrated with Moodle.

I couldn't stop noticing that it does not seem to have solved the pitfall of the previous version:

Links to external access of views look like this:

In which, is my test server.

However, when you click on the link, it re-direct you to the logging page of Moodle, and, when you log in,. there is an error message saying 'View not found'

    I am using Moodle 2.2.4 and a Windows 2008 RS2 server.
That is the only error that I have encountered.

Hello, actually guest-login has to be enabled. We had to do this to keep exabis eportfolio Moodle-compliant. If you have guest-access available and also autologin activated, you can use the external view without any problems, regards Andreas

Andreas, Above you said, "Hello, actually guest-login has to be enabled. We had to do this to keep exabis eportfolio Moodle-compliant. If you have guest-access available and also autologin activated, you can use the external view without any problems" to solve the problem of the external access view to be seen. I'm pretty sure I have that set correctly but I also get "View not Found" error. Where specifically should I go so that external views will display?

Another problem I'm having is in the list of My Items if the link description is long there is a linked word "weiterlesen" which I have changed to "read more". This javascript isn't working correctly. If you have for example 3 links all with long descriptions if you click on any of the "Read Mores" it will only expand the first link in the list. Anyone know how to fix it?

Version question: I'm getting ready to test Exabis e-portfolio for possible use in my courses. I notice that at the latest MASTER version of Exabis e-portfolio is version 4.0.5 maturity_beta 2013032201 while the version offered for download via Moodle here is version 4.0.4 maturity_beta 2012122800.

Is version 4.0.5 2013032201 safe for production? Or would you recommend version 4.0.4 maturity_beta 2012122800? Which would you recommend? I'm running the latest 2.3.6+ version of Moodle (linux/mysql).

    Hello Andreas,
I use ePortfolio. Great! But I have problems with the SCORM-output.

In the informationblock I placed a picture (301_brain.jpg). So far, so good.

But when I export a view to scorm, the picture does not come with it.
The link to that picture in that scorm is then (when I open that scorm from my harddisk):

I think that @@PLUGINFILE@@ is not correct replaced.

    Thanks! Kees.
