This block can easily be added to a Moodle installation and provides ePortfolio functionality for each student and teacher course independently.
Students can build up their ePortfolios collecting weblinks, files and notes within individually defined categories.  ePortfolio-artefacts can be published to specific target-groups using views to start reflection and assessments.

ePortfolios can be saved as a SCORM-package and can be used cross-platform for further work. Also the CV-functionality allows export to the Europass format.

Exabis ePortfolio is part of a suite of three main modules: Exabis ePortfolio (portfolio work), Exabis Competencies - Competence grids (connecting artefacts to competences and individualization paths using digital competence grids) and Exabis student review (course spanning reporting tool of students’ achievements including assessment of soft skills).

The module can be used standalone or as part of this suite. Advantage of using all three modules together is that learner driven learning paths can be established – these are teacher guided, self-paced, competence-based and individualized.

The free app DAKORA (working with digital competence grids) which was developed together with the Federal Ministry of Education in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, allows work with all three modules with an innovative interface for tablets and smartphones which can be downloaded from all app stores.

De-installed a lot of plug-ins following problems with Moodle 2.9. Came to re-install exaport (we purged every vestige of it from the system) but keep getting:

DDL sql execution error

Debug info: Table 'pyspace_lms.mdl_block_exaportuser' already exists

P.S. The table and ibd files are definitely NOT present before the upgrade begins.

Hi Andreas,

In the description of e-Portfolio you write: "Key-features are <...> integration of OpenBadges."
I can't find that option (import badges). How does that works?
Thx.
Kees.

It is a great tool and thanks for developing it. But I get the following error, when clicking the "show" link when accessing a public view. Coding error detected, it must be fixed by a programmer: print_header() can not be used any more. Please use$PAGE methods instead.
It generated under the following URL
blocks/exaport/shared_item.php?access=view/hash/3-77ba1eaf&itemid=1&att=
Could you please let me know, what shall I do to fix this?
Thanks

Hi Andreas
Thank you very much. It is working perfectly. I will be using it for my students and will report if there's any bug.
So many thanks again for sharing the file even before adding it to Moodle.org.

Hi everyone,

I'm suing exabis eportfolio on Moodle 2.3.1. Amazingly, we've just found out that some users (not all of them) cannot share the activities (link, file or note ) they create. When they click on SHARE they get the message:
but nothing happens.

Could anybody shed light on this? Thank you.

Albert

hello albert, when the userlist gets very long, we heard that problems may have occured - we had a contribution to the code to optimize this: https://github.com/gtn/exaport/tree/moodle_2x_stable - you can also go for a newer version of exaport, regards andreas

Hi everyone,
I installed the exabis porfolio on our Moodle server (build 2.9.+ 20151028) recently. The plugin seems to function properly but something goes wrong: When a file is uploaded I recieve the error message: "error reading database" (dutch: "Fout bij het lezen van de databank").
Is this a database or a filesystem problem? Ik tried to look for clues in the sourcefiles on the webserver but couldn't find useful info there...
Any idea's anyone? Help is appreciated
Regards,
Arjen
