This block can easily be added to a Moodle installation and provides ePortfolio functionality for each student and teacher course independently.
Students can build up their ePortfolios collecting weblinks, files and notes within individually defined categories.  ePortfolio-artefacts can be published to specific target-groups using views to start reflection and assessments.

ePortfolios can be saved as a SCORM-package and can be used cross-platform for further work. Also the CV-functionality allows export to the Europass format.

Exabis ePortfolio is part of a suite of three main modules: Exabis ePortfolio (portfolio work), Exabis Competencies - Competence grids (connecting artefacts to competences and individualization paths using digital competence grids) and Exabis student review (course spanning reporting tool of students’ achievements including assessment of soft skills).

The module can be used standalone or as part of this suite. Advantage of using all three modules together is that learner driven learning paths can be established – these are teacher guided, self-paced, competence-based and individualized.

The free app DAKORA (working with digital competence grids) which was developed together with the Federal Ministry of Education in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, allows work with all three modules with an innovative interface for tablets and smartphones which can be downloaded from all app stores.

Very useful plugin! Thanks. Do you plan to make version for moodle 3.6? And if yes what is the estimated release date?

    Good evening Andreas,

I'm testing the Exabis e-portfolio module (in moodle 3.7) and I have questions about bugs :

    - minor display issue resolved by applying standard appearance in course where the block is active
    - I can't see shared categories (are they really shared ?)
    - I can export one portfolio (in scorm-zip file) but I can't import it later.

Did you know about this ?

    Hallo Andreas,

    Hi Andrea,
I like this plugin and plan to use it on Moodle 3.4. However, when I try to import an assignment from a student account, I see an empty table of tasks.. This student has some assignments but can't find them in the same course. Students can't also see the "import to portfolio" button found in their forum discussions.

When I tried from a teacher/ admin account, it showed "At the moment, you don't have any assignment" which is logical in this case..

Is there any special role permission or authentication that need to be configured? Kindly let me know.

Hello Ismail, is the portfolio-interface enabled? the folder portfolio_plugin/exaport has to be uploaded to the Moodle installation into the /portfolio-Folder and activated by the admin. Then the import link should work properly moodle-wide for all participants, cheers Andreas

    Hello Andreas,
Thank you for your response. Is there a documentation for this process or an additional plugin I need to install? I am my managing my own server, but need to figure out where this folder should be exactly located or activated.
    Thanks again.

Hey andreas, I have already studied all documentations in that link. However, I couldn't find what is missing. I have all four plugins installed, activated and configured (portfolio, grid, library and review). Students can build a portfolio, share artifacts, access shared views and categories, etc.

The only two things I can't find now:
    - how to add an "Export to portfolio" button to discussion forums.
    - Import from Moodle-assignments. (This option exists, but shows only a blank list of assignments despite submitting some already)..

I see both "exacomp" and "exacaport" folders and associated files under the Moodle Blocks main folder. Is there a sub-folder I need to manually upload or a permission to edit?

Hello Ismail, you need to copy a folder from exaport (subfolder /portfolio_plugin) to the moodle-portfolio-folder which is /portfolio. Then you have to activate the portfolio as an admin for Moodle. Afterwards you will see the links. Cheers Andreas

    Hallo together,
if i share a view with the optione "external link" and i use this link, then i will be forwarded to the moodle login.
I would expect, that sharing this way does not need a login.
Is this behavoiur as it should or is that an error?

Hello Steffen, this is not an error but rather a security issue. Within the Moodle-installation the guest access option must be set so a resource, such as an external link which resides within Moodle, can be accessed, best regards, Andreas
