I haven't tried, you could try in a dev/test environment.

    Hi David:
Thank you for your wonderful admin plugin....I was wondering, will this also copy the settings of plugins / install plugins like your amazing Flavours plugin? Excited for both to be updated to 3.1....keep up the great work and this great tool to help admins deploy and expand Moodle!

Hi Joseph, thanks for your kind words. Yes, it does copy the settings of your installed plugins, actually this plugin handles settings export/import much better than moodle flavours

Thanks Clément Prudhomme for offering help with further maintenance of this plugin (https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=342727#p1383890). Please make sure to edit the plugin record so that the repository and bug tracker now link to your repository. Ideally David should transfer his current github repo over to you so that the existing issues there are kept for consistency.

I've just installed this on a local VM build of Moodle. Installation OK, appears under plugins and can see settings. Can see no evidence of "Admin presets" or similar on add blocks menu. Tried adding block on Home and also within a course page, no drop down option for "Admin Preset" . Verified folder exists in /var/www/html/moodle/blocks/admin_presets and permissions all good.

Can you advise why it wouldn't be showing?

    Any help much appreciated, Thanks

    Hi AW,
I think your need to go to your home page (not the dasboard but site home page / ?redirect=0) to add this block. If you are logged and on the homepage, you can add "Admin Preset" block.

I am on the Moodle my home page (not the dashboard) and I can't see an 'admin presets' block in the Add blocks drop down menu either. I have added /my/?redirect=0 to the end of my URL to no avail. Has anyone got this working on Moodle 3.1?

    Thanks.

    Hi Jessica,

I'm not sure you are on the good page. This plugin work with Moodle 3.1.
Can you try this to access to the homepage of the webiste : www.myurl.com/?redirect=0 (without "/my"). After try again to look the list of the block.

    Hi Mark,

Yes, it works. We used with some Moodle 3.2 sites and it's ok.

    Regards.

I installed on 3.3.1 with the essentials theme. I need to get the essentials theme settings and some scorm settings to a new moodle instance. The theme is referenced in Site administration>Plugins>Blocks>Admin presets, and it appears I can make changes to the settings, but it does not appear in the Add blocks menu. So it appears to be installed but unusable. Any advice?

Hi Dan, are you trying to add from the Add Blocks menu while on the frontpage? The frontpage Add Blocks menu is the only one it will appear in - if you navigate to yourmoodlesite.com/?redirect=0 (with the ?redirect=0 bit on the end after the /) it should take you to the frontpage where you can turn on editing if you don't already have it on and with the Add Block menu now available you should also there find the Admin Presets block listed.

Hi Matt, I was having a difficult time reaching the home page you mentioned until I noticed a previous post here saying to remove the 'my/'. Using http://XYZ123/moodle/?redirect=0 did get me to a home page I had never seen before. Unfortunately 'admin presets' is not listed in the add a block menu. I'm still very interested in how this works, but I'm starting to think it is not compatible with 3.3.1. Any other advice is appreciated.

    Hi Dan,

I confirm you Admin Preset works as you describe. If you can't add the block on http://XYZ123/moodle/?redirect=0, look on :
"Site Administration" / "blocks" and check if you see "Admin Presets" in the list of the blocks.

We just update the "block" for Moodle 3.3 (fix changes pix_url() to image_url())
So Admin presets works fine with no bug in Moodle 3.3

    Clément
