PLEASE NOTE: This plugin is no longer being actively maintained by Brickfield. The main challenge is with the third-party external ATBar, which is not being maintained at all by its authors, at some point has lost all of its docs, and doesn't have an up-to-date SSL.

If someone has funding, and would like to cover the updating of this plugin, we would be happy to engage with you on this.

We are planning on sharing a new plugin which will provide guidance to users with their font size, font colour, and other display options, depending on their browser. We will update this plugin description once it's available.

The block allows users to customise Moodle to their visual needs.  It supports changing of text sizes and colour schemes.  Customisations save to the user's session, allowing them to persist between pages, and can also be saved to the database allowing them to apply permanently.

The block also integrates ATBar from Southampton University ECS. This provides extra tools and customisation options, including dictionary lookup and Text-to-speech.  Visual customisations performed with ATBar don't currently persist, and can be used as well as or instead of the block's own customisations.

Hi,theoretically it should work with 2.9 .however it would be a great help to the community if you could try and let us know if there are any issues with it.

Hi, has anyone had success in using this plugin for V3.0 or v3.1 and is there an intention to officially release an update before Sept 2016 to work with 3x? Many thanks.

Hi, I am using this plugin for Moodle 2.9. I was wondering if we could change the A contrast icon as a text 'Contrast 1' etc. because our user might not know what A means?

Sarah, Hittesh and I have are discussing plans for the next release of the plugin. I would hope that we can have an updated version out before September, although I can't commit to any particular date as this is currently a "spare time" endeavor for me.

    Sya,
Hovering over the icon should display a description of what each button does. There's currently no mechanism for changing the displayed text per-button (only chaning the A to a different character/string throughout by overriding the language string).

Sarah and Mark, I have just installed this in Moodle 3.0 without any problems, at all. I've done some quick testing and it seems to work just fine. Note that I don't use this plugin, myself, so I my testing is pretty superficial. However, I clicked on every button and got the expected results.

    Hi Mark,
Thanks for your reply. I am working with St Nicholas Home from the blind and the users have a problem with the A on their screen since they are using their keyboards and open source the screen reader called NVDA. So, my colleagues are trying to explore if we could change any label on the code for the block.

I think this is a great block. Any plans to update it for 3.2 compatibility?

Good morning, I would appreciate it if you help me solve a problem that I have.
How can I make the block display from the home page even without entering.

@Roberto this is a generic block permission question. More info here : https://docs.moodle.org/31/en/Blocks_FAQ

Thank you very much Hittesh Ahuja
I checked according to the documentation you sent me but still I still can not see the block on the home page, I do not know if it is a problem of the subject.
