This is an atto plugin for Moodle which allows the administrator to define a set of predefined templates which a teacher can insert into their course pages.

It behaves in a very similar way as the TinyMCE templates function (https://www.tinymce.com/docs-3x/reference/plugins/Plugin3x@template/). Rather than storing the templates as stand-alone files, they are stored as settings in Moodle.

This plugin is a replacement for atto_templates, which will no longer install on Moodle 3.7+. If you already have atto_templates, install this plugin. When it installs it will copy all your existing settings. You can then delete the old plugin. Sorry for the inconvenience, it was out of my control.

Perfect! It is asking for a wide use. That use will ask for grouping and sorting functionality as wel as export/import functionality. Any chance that that will come to us?

Hi Bert, I've added your two request to my github issues page. I'm not going to be able to work on these requests in the near future, as they're not scoped as required at my institution, and I'm quite pressed for time. Thanks for the suggestions, though. And if you're able to contribute some code, that would be great.
    thanks

I have a Moodle 3.9 site. May we expect a version of this plugin for 3.9?

Would be great to have a "max lines" for the template - as if its a long termplate they need to scroll to see the buttons.

Also, sometimes it works clicking add, sometimes not,. odd!

Thank you for this amazing plugin. Would be awesome to use it in the latest and greatest moodle 4.0. Do you have plans to support 4.0?
    Cheers

Hi Tien, I've not had time to check. I see no reason why it wouldn't work. If you could test it, and let me know, that would be good, and I'll update the compatibility.

    Hello,
I wonder if you have tested this with Moodle 4.1.
    Have a good day!

As I understand it none of the atto plugins work in the mobile app. It uses a different text editor. Sorry. It will work in the web version on a mobile, of course.

Hello Mark! Thank you for your fantastic work, I'm very actively using your plugin, saving quite a bit of time. The plugin works great in moodle 4.1 and I just wanted to install it on a new moodle installation. However, the plugin is not marked as compatible with this version here, making it impossible to install via the moodle gui. Would be please consider updating compatibility, if it's not too much of a hassle at the moment? Thank you very much! Best regards, Christian
