I'm no good with JS code, but how difficult would it be to make this have a colour picker, including allowing users to enter a hex value?

It works very well thank you.

Hi Nicolas, I can confirm that this plugin works with 2.9. Would you mind marking it as 2.9 compliant in the plugins repo here?

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for the reminder. Here's the plugin, updated with a couple new features, and officially supporting Moodle 2.7-2.9.

I'm experiencing a couple of issues with this plugin that I'm hoping someone can help me resolve. I just installed this plugin on a server running version 2.9.2+ (Build: 20151016) of Moodle. I'm seeing the following two issues:
1.) If I select a color before entering new text the color is not used when I type. If I type a word, highlight it, and then select a new color the word and everything I type after will use that new color. Why can't I select a new color before typing?
2.) I have a similar issue with using a custom color. If I attempt to define a custom color before typing, the color picker does not appear until I type a single letter.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks...

    Hi Nicolas,
Firstly thanks for a great plugin. I have one question though. Your screen shot shows the colours split in to rows. I have a similar number of colours to the screenshot but mine are in one long colmn. I would really like to have them as in your screenshot.

We are using Moodle 3 and the More theme.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    John.

    Hi John,

Thanks for your feedback. My bad, there was a minor upgrade I forgot to upload here. Is it available as of now.

    Hi Nicolas,

I would really like to use this awesome plugin, but I'm still having the same issues as defined in my previous post. I've updated to the most recent version, and it didn't fix my issues. Any idea on what might be going on? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks...
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

Yes, that is indeed how the plugin works as of now. I'll try and make it work more like the standard font colors plugin in a future release.

    Hi Nicolas,

Will you be certifying this for 3.0 soon?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

Our testing revealed that the current version works perfectly on Moodle 3.0. I'll release a new version shortly, just to officially mark Moodle 3.0 support.

First - sorry for being a noob as this may be obvious to many of you tongueout

We've installed the plugin and I can make my edits. Before I change any of the color options, all I see from the dropdown color selector are 6 colors, not the 12 as seen in the screenshot. When I change the hex color options in the settings I still don't get anything different than the original 6 colors.

    Thanks!

    Hi Daniel,

Once installed, the plugin's button has to be added to Atto's toolbar. To do so, go to Atto's toolbar settings, and in the "toolbar config" field replace "fontcolor" with "morefontcolors". This will replace Moodle's basic font colors button with the one from this plugin.

I have installed the plugin but I can't see the corresponding button in the HTML editor tool bar. What do I do to activate it?
