It could be as I have not tested in Moodle 3.0. I'll take a look this week when i get a chance.

I just tested in Moodle 3.0 and it worked fine. I even created a question and it worked. You picture link does not work.

OK I got your word file link to work. Can you send me a screen shot of your question text in HTML mode. (Click on the HTML button). When I pasted you expression in it did not work since it got wrapped in a tag. Remove the tag and it should work fine.

Sorry the tag got removed by moodle.org. It was a tt tag.
