Hi DeWayne,

You need to have the PHP XSL library installed and enabled on your server. See the instructions in the "Pre-requisites" section of the plugin description page at https://moodle.org/plugins/view/qformat_wordtable.

Also, can you tell me whether you are trying to export questions to Word, or import them from Word?

I have just released version 3.0 of the Moodle2Word plugin, which contains some important new features.

  • There is no limit on the number of questions that can be imported.
  • There is no longer any subscription payment required to remove import limits.
  • There is support for more complex formatting, such as tables or lists, inside question components such as the stem, answer options, or feedback.

These changes are possible because this release uses the newer XML-based format (.docx) of Microsoft Word 2010, and some fancy Open Source code developed by Oleg Tkachenko to convert this XML (WordProcessingML) into XHTML.

Moodle in English -> Quiz New Moodle 2.x plug-in: Export questions to HTML review table format

The "HTML review table format" plugin has just been approved and published in the plugins database.  From the description:

HTML review table format is intended to allow question authors and editors to easily review all the details of a question, especially feedback, as well as metadata such as penalties for incorrect attempts. The default HTML export format for questions uses HTML forms to present questions, but omits the metadata information.

Most standard question types are supported, except Calculated and Numerical questions. The format displays the question stem and answer options, feedback, hints, tags, penalty values, grades, etc. Metadata is clearly labelled in the current user interface language.

The PHP XSL extension is required, and the PHP HTMLTidy extension is highly recommended.

The HTMLTable plugin supports only question export and online visual review. It is a companion to the WordTable plugin, which supports export, review, editing and re-importing of questions. The WordTable export format may also be more suitable for reviewing the questions in print, as it usually paginates better when formatted within Word.
