Sounds like you would want to use the quiz module or the lesson module with short-answer questions for this.

Or am I misunderstanding what you want to do?

I could be wrong, of course, but it looks like Moodle is trying to reinstall the assignment module. I am not sure why that would be. Are you currently upgrading your installation?
