The behat.yml in 2.8 lists under features the root features folder in each plugin and in runtime all features are executed including those in sub folders. In 2.9 it lists particular features but only from the root features folder and only those features are executed. Adding the root features folder to the behat.yml fixes that but only until the next initialization. Bug? Known? Or am I missing something?

A new plugin Availability dataformcontent allows teachers to restrict user access to an activity or section based on content of a designated Dataform instance in the course. The plugin requires the Dataform module plugin. Version for 2.8 awaiting approval in Moodle plugins repo, but already available from git at https://github.com/itamart/moodle-availability_dataformcontent/releases/tag/v2.8.0.

For a related discussion down this forum see Allocate resources/activities to individual students.

Please note: this plugin requires the Dataform module plugin which is available from Moodle plugins repo and from git.

Hope this plugin helps anyone. Feel free to feed back. smile

With the entry choice feature the teacher can allow students to choose and take ownership on predefined entries. For example, if you have 30 students and 3 topics for an assignment and you want the submissions to distribute evenly, that is, 10 submissions for each topic, you can enter 30 predefined assignment entries with the topics distributed as desired, and let the students select one entry each.

A quick illustration of the feature is attached. smile

Moodle in English -> Dataform (plugin) -> Group submission

by Itamar Tzadok -

In the Dataform activity settings, under the Entries section, there is a setting called 'Grouped entries'. This setting is supposed to be applicable in group mode, and allow group members to work together on one group submission and receive the group submission grade in their individual user grade report. Well, in the next Dataform release (2.8.1, 2.7.3) this setting will start fullfilling its purpose. A very brief illustration is attached. The illustration also demonstrates creating an internal rubric in the submission entry, and allowing the students to enter self-evaluation as part of the submission. Afte the submission is graded using the same rubric, the students can compare their evaluation with the graders. smile
