Quite the contrary, actually, it is just a matter of dealing with some requests vs. others. And please, don't be hasty into taking this personal, I didn't say, "needs of high school students are that unimportant and so your request is unimportant"; I just said, "I don't think it would make it to the top 100 most important goals", meaning that I don't imagine that being a popular request, and that's why, the first thing I suggested was for you to create a Tracker account:

https://tracker.moodle.org/secure/Signup%21default.jspa

and add your request. Did you do it?

If you check the issues at the Tracker page, you'll see that there is a Vote for this issue link available. This means that the more an issue or a request is needed, people will then vote for it, making it "more important" than other issues.

As a side note, and just in case you assumed erroneously, I don't work for Moodle, I'm just a regular guy helping here, so here goes the disclaimer: anything any volunteer writes is her/his own point of view, interpretation or whatever, and not that of the Moodle organization; just to be clear.

Cheers!

Hello Peter,

Regardless of how easy or difficult would this be to develop, I don't think it would make it to the top 100 most important goals. Of course, you may create an account at the Tracker and add your request:

In the meantime, maybe the Parent role could work for you:

https://docs.moodle.org/27/en/Parent_role

Another solution would be for families to set a common email account or to use a mail forward setting.
