I have the following situation:
Say a quiz is originally conducted in the last academic session.
The same quiz is to be conducted in the current academic session with modifications.
It was tried to delete the past attempts of the original quiz so that it could be edited but all attempts could not be deleted (it could be due to some bug which perhaps requires database editing to resolve). Moodle version is 1.9.
It appears easier to backup that quiz without any users and restore it. However, moodle while backing up the quiz backs up all the questions in various categories that the quiz uses and not just the questions used in the quiz.
Now, when restore is performed all these questions already exist. So, my concern is, "Will these questions be overwritten?" If all questions are overwritten is there any risk of losing some formatting.
