I understand that there is a growing interest to use the capabilty of porting Moodle in USB flash drives with content such as Video and Flash for off line viewing without internet access. Further by suitable link the same miiror image of the course loaded in a web server intranet/internet can be accessed by the individual learners through the USB allowing the learner to carry the moodle server with him and access from any PC/Laptop. The internet be used for Discussion, assignment, Quiz and feedback. Further from Moodle course the learner be enrolled to attend realtime cirtual class room for one on one and one to many online interaction.
I did some work to test the proof of concept by using the Moodle instance in USB drive with suitable linkages to Moodle on the web and realtime interaction from Flash Media Server.
I will be happy to know from the community the feasibility of achieving an integrated solution converging individual learning with collaborative and realtime learning.
