We needed to find a low cost dataserver to store education multimedia files.
We didn't need services, database, any additional resource. We only needed an access FTP and an address that I can make a link starting from our portals and starting from our installed Moodle.
Here in Brazil the host prices and traffic of data are very high. But we got a service that works well, but it has a lot of limitation in storage terms and bandwidth.
In the moment we needed storage 40gb and a bandwidth 400/500gb.
We found a plan of services in http://www.netmondo.com/semi-dedicated.html that theoretically could be a solution. A very low price (US$30/month). We are a nongovernmental organization without profit and of social purpose. We worked with a very low budget.
We saw here severe critics www.netmondo.com but those critics are more related to operation of database services.
We would like a lot information if:
1. To critics regarding www.netmondo.com would don't don't recommend the use just as storage and access to files.
2. Somebody know each other alternatives that can offer better option.
