The teachers at our school wanted to have the gradebook Excel spreadsheet sort students by their user names rather than last names (this is how they keep track of students elsewhere). They'd also like to have their scores listed as % rather than raw points.
By modifying grade/lib.php I've managed to have the Excel spreadsheet download show user names rather than firstname / lastname, but it's still sorting the students by their last names.

that's sounds interesting i will see what can i do with that, maybe is a good idea to do a form to specify how does the user wants the exported spreadsheet
