Starting a wikiname with Wiki: ?

In certain cases, after I create a new wiki activity, then click on its link, the browser takes me to http://www.c2.com/cgi/...

The initially-created name was "Wiki: HMC2008".    Every time I click on the link to open the wiki, http://wsmoodle/mod/wiki/view.php?id=2573 it opens a new browser window pointing to this URL http://www.c2.com/cgi/wiki?%20HMC2008

It seems that if my initial wikiname starts with "Wiki:" then it invariably points to c2.com   -- yikes!  Does this have something to do with the CSS?  the underlying Wiki code somewhere?

I tried changing the name to "Wiki HMC2008" but same behavior -- it is evidently encoded into the initial creation of the wiki somehow.

We poked around the php code and find no occurrence of c2.com

If I then delete the original wiki, and create a new one, named "HMC2008 Wiki", that works fine.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening, and how to fix it?

Yes, I know one answer is "Don't start a wikiname with Wiki:" -- but that is our standard naming convention for activities and resources, to start with the activitytypename;  and it is weird behavior, no?

We are running Moodle v1.8.2+, php5.2.5, MySql5.0.22, on WindowsServer2003 and IIS, with standard browser IE7.
