We have started to use the Moodle Networking facility with V1.8.4 to enable us to maintain all of our user profiles on one system and then give them access to the course sites which run on another Moodle.
The system is working well bar for one problem and that is all user profiles are set up with the auto-subscribe to forums set to not automatically subscribe every time a user posts a message. However this does not appear to be working on the course site as the option default at the base of all messages is set to subscribe once the message is posted. The students are now getting fed up with having to unsubscribe each time they forget to change the subscription option.
Other than each student turning their email off, swapping to digest or putting an incorrect email address into the system to stop all the emails is there something else that can be done or is this a bug that needs reporting?
