This is happening randomly only for some courses. We are on Moodle 1.8.
Whenever a student submits a paper for an assignment, upon checking the grades, a '0' is recorded for that submission, even though the instructor has not graded it yet. This is confusing and worrying some students who received the '0' grade since they think they did not do well.
It is more frustrating for the instructor who has to deal with this weird issue and try to explain to the students that he had not graded it yet. In some instances, he edited the assignment to allow resubmission so that the score of '0' is not listed for that submission. Before this odd issue, a student would usually see this '-' instead of '0'.
Has anyone come across this issue? Is this a bug? Is this resolved in 1.9?
