Installation 'Error'

Hi, I was trying to install this plugin on my local copy of moodle 1.8 and I consistantly get the following error:

Upgrade already running in this session, please wait!
Click on the exclamation marks to ignore this warning (!!!).
( Continue )

I have tried all sorts but it doesn't help - it just keeps refreshing forever. If I click the exclamation marks it prooceeds but then when I add some questions then log in as a student - upon submitting my answers I simply get the red error box with the helpful message 'error'

has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Alex,

it is important to use the right feedback-module for the related moodle-version.
You should clean up your system and new install the feedback-module.
Go into the "Site Administration" -> "Modules" -> "Activities" -> "Manage activities" and delete the feedback-module (note: all existing feedbacks on installed courses will be deleted)
After that you should look at the database whether there still are some feedback-tables. If it is so you can drop all tables which start with mdl_feedback....

At the end do a new install with the correct feedback version.
