Hi,
instead of display list of courses enrolled by student in front page, how can we display "news of Courses" which are posted for a particular period .
i mean if news posted for a course, it has display like this
Course name:..........
news: ...........or news topic name (posted for that course only)
this is to get get the attention of the students, after a particular period the the news has to be deleted.
we can show list of enrolled courses in right hand block, so i feel no need to show in middle block as well

As a teacher, I use a calendar and upcoming events block (may have the name wrong). I can post an event in a course calendar. Then decide if it should be displayed as a site, course, group or user event. I can set a window so only the next 21 days of events are shown. Past events are not show, but can be clicked on via a calendar block. There is some color codes associated with the site, course, group, user events.
