Moodle in English: HOW CAN I UPLOAD SCORM FILES?

Hello to everyone,

I' m new in the community of Moodle. I have a problem in uploading scorm files in Moodle 1.9. I selected the SCORM/AICC but I can't upload any file. Any help would be grateful.

I must upload some files in a course. I was said to upload them with SCORM. So I used the SCORM/AICC. When I tried though to upload files exe, flash, doc, html, etc. it said that "The specified package/manifest is not valid. Check it and try again." It doesn't let me to complete the activity and so that it can be used.

if you select SCORM/AICC activity, then you can upload only the SCORM packs. Which are zip files and contains a file called imsmanifest.xml.

If you want to upload the exe, doc and html, then I you may use the files option (mostly which are on the left side of your window).

I am not sure whether you can include exe, doc, into a SCORM pack. Can we do this?

Hi sarveswaran..

I managed to upload my SCORM Package. When i tried to view the content. It takes time to load.. Its keep on loading the page, but the content doesnt appear..

Can u guide me how to upload the SCORM package..? I did the SCORM package using Captivate.

can you provide more information? - what page are you on when content doesn't load? - can you upload an example of your scorm package so we can test it?

maybe a screenshot would help?

they asked to check the "Use Slash Argument". I did that, but still the SCORM content cant load in the window.

Hi There,

received your scorm object via e-mail, and it loaded in my 1.9 install in firefox ok - I notice it uses shockwave - do you have the shockwave plugin installed in your browser?

go to www.adobe.com and make sure you have the flash and shockwave players installed.

Also - the splash screen with the digimedia logo doesn't seem to progress to the next step automatically and you have no way of navigating to the next step easily like your "next" buttons that appear on other parts of the object.

Hi Dan,

I installed the Flash player and the Shockwave player and i tested it...It still doesnt work out...It still keeps on loading, When you test the package, does it work in SCORM.

Is it because the file size is heavy, But the above pics, i reduced the slide to 5, when i did the cp file and wrapped into SCORM.

Hi Tryphy,

using the great script here:

I found that your config.php file has an extra carriage return in it, which is screwing up the display.

remove the carriage return and it should work for you!

No. - This script does the same thing as browsing to the config.php file via a web browser. - it checks the output to see if any carriage returns are present at the bottom of the page.

as the file is a php file, it compiles everything between the <?php and ?> tags.

...unless you don't have php installed (in which case your moodle install wouldn't work either)

When I trie to load the scorm file , after all setting is ready , I press the button " save and return to course "., it alwasys no response, sometime ,if and luck, it works, but most of the time there is no any response , anyone knows what wrong ?

Hai,

when i upload a scorm package i get an error...

the error says.. "manifest file missing"...

i do have a manifest file in zip folder that i am uploading. but it still does not take it...

I want to actually know the procedure how is a flash file published and packaged as a SCORM Object.

Am new to moodle and Flash... so all silly doubts...

helo.I´m new in this community.Please escuse my english.
I don´t wanna open a new topic.
I have problem on uploding scrom .
Also when i want to make a new folder ...for stocking the courses in scrom ... the pop up told me that the folder has been created, but when i search for it i can´t finde it.
My problem is that i can see the "scrom.zip" , i choose it and when i hit on save changes ,it gives me the error "Manifest not found".
Like i work on localhost or in server i have the same probleme.
If i search for the "scrom.zip" file that i have upload it i can found it in the boot servers (localhost or my domain) but in the pop if i hit on it i can download it.
Where is the problem.I have moodle 1.9

got the same problem: uploaded SCORM module doesn't open.

I did delete the database tables and let moodle create them new.

Found the SCORM-module here.

moodle 1.9.4 php 5.2.8 mysql 5.0.67

Here are simple instructions in basic English with the key words in red:

Add a new course using the SCORM format
Upload the SCORM.zip file into the files section of the course you have just made
Add a SCORM/AICC activity to the first topic and choose the SCORM.zip as the package file

Should work fine if not let us know what error messages you receive

404- file or directory not found

hello, i am new in moodle when i try to upload small SCROM zip file it upload successfully. But when i try to upload 116MB SCROM zip file it show "404 file or directory not found" error .i aslo check php.ini parameter where max size>1000MB .Plz anyone help me....what i can do to resolve error.

I have the same problem. I want to upload a 250 MB scorm zip file.

I modifed the php.ini and the lines post_max_size and upload_max_size to 900MB.

When I upload the scorm, it gave me these errors
