You can find the theme for your site by
- logging in as admin;
- clicking Appearance on the Administrator menu;
- clicking Themes on the submenu; then
- clicking Theme Selector.
You will see a list of all available themes. The one currently being used for your site will have a box around it. Or you can use your favorite database
client program (such as phpMyAdmin
if your Moodle database is of type MySQL
) to find the row in the table mdl_config in which the value of name is theme; the value of value in that row will tell you what theme is being used.
Besides the site theme, there can be themes associated with courses, course categories, users, sessions, and pages (see Theme settings#Theme_types
). You can find these (except for the last two) in the database also, in the theme column in the tables mdl_course, mdl_course_categories, and mdl_user respectively. The session theme only exists until you log out, and is indicated in the query-string portion of the URL
; the page theme is set in the PHP code.
I don't know offhand why your icons are missing. Look at the HTML source code of the page and see what the pathname is in the URL to the icon image file, and look in the corresponding directory to see what is missing. Then follow the advice in CM's post.
