I am looking for a simple Shoutbox to display in a Moodle block to allow anyone to post short messages that others can see. We have found this type of tool to be an excellent way of quickly building a community. Ideally the shoutbox would use the Moodle username and link to the users profile.
Has anyone looked at putting the existing Moodle chat into a block? What would be involved in doing this? Are other Shoutboxes that link to the Moodle profile?
