Check the proporsal in the Wiki http://docs.moodle.org/en/Student_projects#Benchmark-Framework_for_Moodle

A typical question of this kind http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=50934 (Capacity) and check the back-references in this posting http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=50934#p232855

The current de-facto benchmark http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=57028

Wiki on (Moodle)Performance http://docs.moodle.org/en/Performance

On the server-side I can help only in Unix/Linux. The cleint tools are still open. Ideally should be plattform-independent or be ported easily. But if you already have experience in hardcore socket-programming, you are welcome!

Visvanath,

This is an area of interest for us. Let me know if it would help to have access to test setups to run the benchmark against. We could run the tools on a variety of different sized setups, from single server, dual server, up to multi-machine clusters.

Hi Jonathan

The project did not take place, there were no suitable candidates. I haven't invested too much on this after that up to now.

I'll contact you on personal mail, as soon as there is something new.
