Teaching with Moodle

Dena - You were definitely on the right track. I like your idea of carefully naming the discussions to help the students know in what order they should respond. Generally speaking, having the discussions ordered by the ones with the most recent activity is considered a feature. The data is not stored as to when the discussion was created so to do a hack would involve modifying the forum_discussions table in the database and adding a field. It would not be too difficulty of a hack to allow for folks to choose between the sort methods (but it would be a hack). Which version of Moodle are you using?
